You could do this with the kids if you have access to an oven, or ahead of time. Take soft tortillas and cut out snowflakes (paper snowflake style). Brush with a TINY bit of margarine, sprinkle with sugar/cinnamon, and bake for just a few minutes. They're really cute!

A holiday themed bingo game works for many ages. You can use stickers or candy for the bingo markers.
I borrowed our phy ed bowling set for a couple of parties for the older kids.
We usually did parties in stations, three or four depending on time and volunteers, so you rotate the kids thru. That way they get a variety of activities, but each station doesn't have a lot of time so complicated craft projects don't work.
Decorating (and eating) sugar cookies is fun.
One dad had a lollipop licking contest for his station - it was so funny!
I've seen pipecleaner/bead projects (candy cane, wreath, hearts).
I still have a picture of my son in school that his kindergarten teacher took - it's big popsicle sticks painted for a frame with a little (computer printed) saying "I'm your sweet pea!", and then at the bottom of the frame is a green pea pod shape glued to the front of the frame. It's so cute. If you do anything with pictures, you need to go to school in advance and get the pictures printed.
Other games - musical chairs, something similar to a cake walk (they walk around while music is playing, stop when music stops, and you draw a number/color/shape/word (whatever you make) and that person wins a small prize. Keep going til your station time is up.
Good idea to have crosswords or word finds to have in case you have extra time.
At Christmas there's a fun gift wrap game where you wrap a box, then a box around that one, one around that one, etc. The kids keep passing the boxes around til someone gets to the inside. (there may be more to this game?) Making an ornament to bring home is a fun thing too.

This is the cutest thing my son ever made! At preschool the teachers collected cd covers, then had the kids paint on them. The teacher then wrote something funny they say, or their favorite thing to do on one side of the cover. Then on the other side of the cover, they glued in their individual pictures. Then you just set it up like a two-sided picture frame, it is adorable! And very inexpensive to make, who doesnt have old cd covers they could get rid of.

I still have mine up & it is 2 yrs old, the paint is just starting to peel off, I can't seem to let it go though!Good luck & let me know if I wasnt specific enough.
