Ok... did you realize you can saute' the radishes? We slice them and saute' them with a bit of garlic, and ALL the fire goes away! I've also added them to other stove-top dishes, and again, if they are cooked, the fire disappears.

My son just made a REALLY great stew the other night, using turnips instead of potatoes.... once again, once they were cooked, you couldn't tell the difference between turnips and potatoes. (I can't really give you the recipe... he made it as he went..... beef cubes, tossed with some salt and smoked paprika, then browned..... remove the beef, then saute' onion, carrots, turnips, celery, and cremini mushrooms. Add the beef, and beef stock (1-2 quarts, depending on how much veggies and meat). He also added 1 or 2 bottles of Shiner beer.....) Anyway, it was really delicious!
