LADIES :

My daughters are going to turn 4 and 2 in a couple of months and I am completely at loss at what toys/games to buy for them to play with that they will enjoy.

They do have a kitchen set.,Laptop, cycles, Thomas set ,tonnes of books and puzzles.I do not like to buy many toys which require batteries and my kids don't watch any TV so DVD's are out.
what else? any thing fun that I can buy for them that doesn't need a battery?

Help me please.

What can I do next?

what about a doll house? I was big in barbie, they might be a little young, but I know they have something for little kids, little people... They get to use their imagination... what about bikes, little ones of course that they can ride on the sidewalks... get the horn and stuff to put on... Sorry, I have a little boy, my daughter is 14...

What about something they can use in the backyard? Sand box, water table, swing set, bats / balls / basketball hoops, etc. A swing set would be a great investment for this age as it's something that can last for years! My husband built ours when my oldest boy was 1 1/2. HE's 7 now, and it's been through a move and is still in excellent condition and something both my boys still use all the time.

My friend suggested this to me and it is wonderful. My daughter is almost two and will play with this for hours. It is much cleaner than sand.

Get a rubbermaid container (with a lid) and fill with uncooked rice and beans. Buy some cheap sand toys from the dollar store and let them have fun. I let my daughter play with hers on a blanket so that when she is finished I can put the beans and rice back in the container.

Little girls love dress up clothes, tutus, princess dresses, etc. My daughter who is almost 2 loves her Little People toys and I'm currently looking for a good outdoor climber/playhouse for her. Playdough or finger paints are fun too. Do you have a good set of Kindegarten grade wooden blocks? http://www.barclaywoods.com/home.htm has a great selection and decent prices.

If you dont have the Fisher Price Loving Family doll house, I say it is a must! We have had ours for about 3 years and my kids all still play with it. We bought it for my daughter when she was three, so it is perfect for your age group. Also, something fun for outside would be great. Another fun thing is craft supplies. Everything from play doh to beads they can string, and of course, markers, crayons, colored pencils etc. If they dont have them yet, some kid friendly scissors would be well loved, esp. by your oldest. Finally, we always love to find dress up stuff. I have 3 girls, and one on the way, so this has worked for all of mine. Now if I could only figure out this boy thing, my son is a whole other story!! ~A.~
