Hello Ladies....can anyone tell me of a legit data entry job I can do from home? Starting in January, I will be a stay-at-home mom but I will need some income. I have looked at the data entry jobs but so many seem like they want you to pay a fee up front and then you may not get as much a month as they say. Does anyone have experience with any of these type of jobs or any other work-from-home jobs? Thank you!

Hi Jessica

My co-workers and I were just discussing the need for an assistant's assistant - it does require answering the phone and some light clerical. It doesn't pay a whole lot because it really isn't hard work but you would also be able to work from home (as long as you have a computer - which I'm assuming you do since you're on MamaSource!). We would need someone M-Th 9-3..if you're interested, PM me at ____@____.com

I don't know anything about data entry jobs, but I just got hired by West at Home. It's seems to be a home-based call center type job. I don't know much about it yet, because I just started traing for it last night.

If you are interested in it I would put in an application soon. It took about 5 months from when I put in the application to getting hired. The minimum you get paid is minimum wage but you can get paid more than that. The scheduling also seems to be very flexible.

Good luck on finding an at-home job.

Check out www.wahm.com. They only post legitimate jobs, and they also explain how to tell if a job is a scam.

Most of those type jobs are scams, especially if they want a fee.

There are others are customer agent jobs for companies like Arise, Alpine Access and Working Solutions.

Then, there are the others that are based on selling products to your friends and family. I'm sure you'll get several posts about those.

Good luck!
