Need to Find a Custom Glass Maker!

My daughter broke a discontinued (and very expensive, I'm sure) champagne flute that belongs to my husband's aunt. I would very much like to replace it somehow. I spoke to my husband's aunt and she told me that out of the whole set of 12, she only has 4 left and that she's looked for years to find any like it because she loves them so much and she's so sentimental about them.

I'M WILLING TO PURCHASE A FULL SET OF 12!

I need to find a person that might be able to replicate these glasses. I can provide detailed pictures and if local, the actual champagne glass itself. The specifications are:

Champagne flutes, trumpet style.
Hollow stem.
Detailed custom colored etching of grapes, vines and leaves around the top of the flute.

Does anyone know where I can order custom glassware?

What can I do next?

I think it's incredibly sweet to offer to replace an entire set. There is a glass blowing place in Grapevine...I think they're called Velo or something like that. Where you would catch the train to Fort Worth. Look them up and give them a call. They have master glass blowers I believe...and if they can't do it, they may know someone who can.

Good luck.

I used to be a crystal buyer, send me a photo and let me see if I can recognize the vendor and pattern.

That way you can at least attempt to find the actual glasses, before attempting to have them recreated..

Here in Austin there is a company called Renaissance glass, on Burnet road. , they may be able to advise you on having this glass replicated.

I agree with others. Post a picture and see what you can find. I was able to google this based on your description. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B004DSRL70/ref=asc... If that's not it, hopefully you can find it.

I would take a picture of the set and talk to antique dealers. Any info you can get such as who made the set, what it was called ect would help a lot. You may be able to find them at estate sales, ebay ect if you have the right info to search.

Tiffany & Co have some nice sets. If you can not replace the one that was broken "one f a kind" Most people respect a nice Tiffany set. ..... Some sets are under $100.

Since you're in McKinney, contact UTA and see if they still have their glass blowing class. Perhaps they could recommend someone.

This is a weird thought, but call the Texas Renassance Festival in Houston. They have glass blowers as artesans to the festival. You might be able to get ahold of one that could do it. Good luck. There is also an awesome one that goes to Scarborough Fair in waxahachi
