Need Teen-friendly Hair Salon

Does anyone know of a teen friendly place to get a hair cut? (Preferably in the St. Charles area) What I mean by teen friendly is somewhere a little funky where the stylists are up on current teen styles. My son has been growing his hair out and I desperately want him to get it styled at least. I don't mind it on the longer side, he looks better with a longer style, but it is looking very shaggy and needs trimming. He refuses to get it cut at a Fantastic Sams, Custom Cuts, etc. because he has gotten bad cuts in the past, so I am looking for a place that will do a little bit "edgier", "scene" style for him. Help!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions of hair salons! I finally convinced my son to try one yesterday and he looks great! So much better now that I can see his handsome face again. He loved the stylist and said she was a genius with hair. We'll definitely see her again and if I need more recommendations I will seek you wonderful ladies out again!

When my teens want a new style, they go to Regis at Mid Rivers Mall. They are all good stylists. Avoid the Asian man - he works sooooo slowly and pulls your hair. He does a good job, but it's a painful experience. If you can pick your stylist, there's a tiny girl there named Erin, who's quite funky, and does a great job. Teens love her.

You might check out Belleza Salon. It is located on the southern part of Hwy K near 40 (behind the West Community Credit Union). I went there for an updated look, and my stylist - Amber - always has an edgy style. Phone # ###-###-####

You could try a place called Sport Cuts. It is a place that is geared for guys where they can watch sports and get a hair cut. I would bet that they haave some great ideas for teen age boys. The only thing is that I don't know where one is in St. Charles County. I bet you could google it and find one. Good luck!

I always go to Current Trends Academy-###-###-#### (in St. Peters) by the Great Skate. Its a beauty school but they do such a great job and the atmosphere is a lot of fun. Most of the time its a bunch of teen girls running around, listening to music and having fun. The best part... ITS CHEAP! The instructors do a lot of the work and they will work with you until you love what you see. I highly recommend it to everyone but especially for the teens and young adults looking for a cool new trendy haircut! Hope this helps and good luck to your son :)
