I was hoping to find someone to come to my neighborhood pool and give my kids swim lessons. Any recommendations?

Thanks all, I'm checking into the park glen lessons. Thanks. If that doesn't work out I'll give the Y a call.

I'm not sure how your HOA works you may need to check with them on lessons in a neighborhood pool- there are various liability and insurance issues that they follow in addition to city rules.
There is a lady based Park Glen that offers lessons in various neighborhoods, her website is www.swimwithkyle.com.
You might also check with your HOA or post on their website that you're looking for someone that is certified to give your children swim lessons you might find a lifeguard or swim instructor that lives in your neighborhood looking to make some extra cash.

Just teach them yourself. I had both my sons in the pool when they were just a few months old. Let them play on the stairs and get comfortable with the water. Teach them how to blow bubbles in the water. Unfortunately there will be a few times that they are going to choke until they learn they cant inhale water. Read up on dry drowning.... I was unaware of this when mine were young, it sounds kind of scary.

I would check into the rules about non-city workers in your neighborhood pools. I know that around here you can't hire out swim lessons to be done in a parks and rec pool, it has to go through the parks district. You might need to have access to a private pool. I've heard good things about the YMCA though!
