Need Source of High-top Shoes for Child Size 8 Special Child

I am teaching a special needs child who needs high-top shoes. HE has a habit of pushing off his shoes in protest and I would like to eliminate that option by putting him in high-top shoes (like adult Converse style) that he cannot remove so easily. Does anyone have a source for a size 8 -little 8?

What can I do next?

I have a special needs child also. I went to Howard's Shoes in Vallco (I think it has a new name now) in Cupertino and he ordered me some leather high tops that work for either foot, so you have to label them so you put them on the right feet. She had very wide short feet and these were wide. They have laces that tie so I do not know if that would be a problem or not. I do not remember how much they cost, but they were not cheap. Good luck!

I think Shoe Pavillion in the San Antonio Shopping Center in Mt. View has converse high tops this size.
