I recently got a job after being a SAHM. I got to say that it is nerve wrecking!! I work at a call center and everything is fast paced. I would like to know if any of you ladies have taken any vitamins or remedies to help the memory?? I feel like I "got it" when taking instructions step by step but then when im put to the test, I go blank!! I really dont know if it's caused by stress or depression. I really need something to stay focused and keep my memory strong. If any of you have advise or have taken anything for memory and it worked, please let me know. I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

What can I do next?

As far as supplements go I am not sure that they work I tried taking ginkobla (spelling??) But, I couldn't remember to take. Go figure. I did some research and found out that there are exercises that you can do to regain your memory. First start out by playing the cad game memory start out easy then keep making it harder. Also do word searches again start out with easier ones then work your way up. These exercises will stimulate the part of the brain that holds memory. It has seemed to work for me as well as my father. I was so bad that I could have met someone over ten times and still could not even guess their name. I would also forget things that I had to almost instantly! I hope that this helps you good luck!

I am a SAHM and don't have that hectic of a life but I did have a problem with feeling like the biggest scatter brain in the world. I couldn't tell you how many times in a day I would find my self in a room or closet asking myself "what did I come in here for". I have been taking 60mg of Ginko Biloba and I know that it helps me stay focused. I just take one tablet in the morning. Since your life is busier than mine you might want to see what the maximum dosage you can take is.

Here's what has worked for me...Omega-3 oil is very good for stress/focus/depression. It's like food for the brain. You have to be careful which one you buy because you could be belching fish oil all day. Fisol is the best. I have found it at Whole Foods and Sun Harvest. Ginseng & Ginko Biloba are good for your brain also, you can find these in most grocery stores sold together. Sam-E and St. John's Wart is good for stress and memory. Also, Emergen-C is 1,000 mg of vitamin C and other nutrients, sold in single packs to mix with water. I can find that at Whole Foods or the natural food section at HEB. It's an awesome energy booster that doesn't leave you feeling burned out. If you can, go to Whole Foods and talk to one of the suppliment specialists. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Hang in there! NB

Ginkgo biloba and yoga can help improve memory, concentration and focus and lower stress. Plus give yourself a break and give yourself permission to have some setbacks otherwise you just might stress yourself out some more. They say it takes two months to learn a new job. And remember, if you can raise children you can do anything!
