My daughter is in 7th grade with 7 teachers. We give Starbucks gift cards. The amount is up to you, I put $10-$15 on each card.

Hi Mommys,
My son attends a Primrose school (many thanks to those of you who kindly replied to my last post concerned about it - I am very grateful for your input and sympathy - he is still there but we've made some changes and things seem to be exponentially better).
Anyhow, throughout the day, there are five different teachers that he works with in his classroom (2s). I am wondering how other people handle holiday gifts when there are so many to buy for? Also, do you consider hierarchy or treat them all the same?
Many thanks in advance for your input!

gosh, its so hard to buy gifts for preschool because your kids deals with so mnay teachers and assistants. You can send gifts to the 2 head teachers.....but i dont even send gifts for preschool teachers...I just send the front desk a nice plant and say "to Primorose faculty and staff"
An easy gift to give all five teachers is something sweet like homemade cookies or banana bread wrapped in a cute tin or box of some sort. Every teacher likes goodies. If there is one main teacher that is with your son for most of the day, you may want to consider giving more, but the bottom line is that it is the thought that counts and you are very generous to be giving:)
Ive done breakfast treats as well, and they went over great. Ive also picked up some really great ornaments for them as well (most of the time try and buy after Christmas). Michaels has their individual ornaments 40% off right now.
The last time around, I got a really nice set of hand soap and lotion for all the teachers in the room to use. They were always washing their hands and loved not having to use the industrial soap that was in the dispenser. then I got each one a pair of holiday themed socks and tucked a small gift card in each pair. It seemed to go over pretty well with the teachers.
At my daughters preschool we have a room mom who collects funds from all the parents and then divides it equally between all the teachers into a gift such as a giftcard to Kohls.
Hope this helps
At the risk of sounding Grinchy, I say if there are several teachers to purchase gifts for, each should have something small of relatively equal value. Perhaps a nice tree ornament wrapped in a box or small bag, or $3 gift certificate to Starbucks (enough for one drink).
Hello M.,
I used to work at a preschool and I thank you on behalf of all preschool teachers for wanting to buy them gifts. That is awesome, people tend to forget about preschool teachers and in my experience only about 4 out of 11 kids bought presents for myself and my co-teacher. Not that we were expecting them either. It's just nice to feel appreciated! Personally, I would get the two main teachers a nicer gift then the aides. Such as Bath and Body Works, a gift card to somewhere they shop or something else nice. The aides I would buy candy, smaller amount of gift card, or something small. We all loved ANYTHING girly, I am a MaryKay Consultant and we have tons of items that would be great gifts. Check out my website www.marykay.com/ctgomez and let me know if I could help you out with anything. Thanks again for remebering Teachers!!!
Good Luck,
C.
I usually provide breakfast for the teachers. I will either do a muffin basket or bagels with different kinds of cream cheese. I used to work in a childcare setting and I always loved it when the parents brought us breakfast or treats. I also do this at random times during the year to let the teachers know that they are doing a great job. Hope that helps some!
Hi,
I am a Tupperware Consultant and have some great ideas for teacher gifts! If you are looking to get multiple gifts, we have a deal right now on a 14 pc Tupperware Canister Set - you get 14 pink and green containers that are the perfect size for giving cookies or candies and they are very festive. You get 14 for only $50, so you can get them for not only the teachers, but neighbors, co-workers, postman, etc and have a nice gift for only a few dollars per person! Also - teachers LOVE the Rock 'n' Serve Soup Mug! Just a couple of ideas, but check out my website - you might see something else you like. We have great toys for the little ones too! www.my2.tupperware.com/laraiezzi
is my website. Happy Shopping!!
I always do something a little nicer for the main/primary teacher and then the same gifts for all of the others. Sometimes I get teacher gifts at Sam Moon. They have really inexpensive things that make great gifts. This year I'm thinking about making spicy Texas pecans in a pretty tin. I still haven't decided. At Sam Moon, they have teacher pins, beautiful hair clips, small bags, etc for around $5 or less.
