Dear T.; About 10 years ago when our first grandchild was born we purchased a Baby Barrier (mesh) pool fence. It has been effective and isn't an eyesore. Benefits of this type of fencing are: low maintenance, durability and the ability to put gates in where ever necessary with no (or little) extra charge. Plus, you can totally remove the fence and re-install it whenever you want. The only downside is that the gates are not self closing. When my grandchildren come over my daughter-in-law does a pool gate check first thing. It's easy to see when the gate is open, however, whereas on self latching gates they sometimes look closed and locked when they're not, so you will always want to check. The BB latch takes some strength and dexterity to open and close, so no little ones can do it. We are expecting another grandchild soon and I'm sure the same pool fence will last another 10 years. I Googled Baby Barrier this morning and several sites came up. I think my installer was Baby Barrier of Arizona. Grandma D.
