We have had a great experience with St. Joseph's Early Education Center. It is on Johnson Drive, just west of Nieman Road.

Check with your nearest YMCA. My local YMCA in Raytown has a wonderful preschool for ages 2-5. My daughter went there for two summers. Also check with your school district. Most Missouri school districts have early childhood (preschool). This is during the school year and follows the parents as teachers program.

I do not know of any full time preschools, especially in the summer. My kids go to Knox Day Care off of I-35 and 95th st and they have a wonderful curiculum. It would offer all day care instead of just an hour or two...I'm not sure that is what you are looking for. They are very flexible and if you would want all day, but maybe only 2 or 3 days a week, they would only charge for those days as long as it is consistent. Let me know if you would like more information.
Hello! I know that there are many good schools out there. My little one goes to Canterbury Prep School. I work full time, so it is great to know she is taken care of. They have a great set schedule and really work with the kids. It is a modified Montessori school. In addition that have activities that you can sign them up for throughout the year. They can beinvolved in basketball, baseball, soccer, etc.. The best part is they do it during the day so you aren't playing the running game during the few hours you get to spend with them at the end of the day. They have multiple locations. We go to the one at Corporate Lakes (by St Luke's south) If you would like more information, they also have a website.
We go to Overland Park Christian Church Preschool. They are located at 76th and Conser on the North side of the road. Preschool is $112/month and it is coop. Every parent signs up for a certain amount of days to help the teacher in the classroom. Whenever it is your turn it will be your childs special day. They get to bring sharing (favorite toy), their favorite snack, etc. They also have a Parents Day Out program for $10 more on the day they have preschool if needed. I like that it is small and all of the teachers know all of the kids. Hope this is helpful!
I am the mom that "Mariana" below is referring to. She recommened St. Paul's in Lenexa to me 2 years ago, and my son loves it there - as do we! Check it out - you won't be disappointed! www.preschool.stpaulslenexa.org.

My son, who will be 2 tomorrow has been going to Kinder Care off Martindale in Shawnee since he was 11 months old, he loves it and we love it, he has learned and is learning so much! He really enjoys the structure, much better than the home setting we were in before we started there. Email me if you have any specific questions, I would love to help you out.
My family owns a preschool/daycare called Wonder Tots. I don't know if they have any openings, but they are located near Midland Dr and 435 Hwy (across from Westglen). The number is ###-###-####. It is a fabulous place, in my opinion!
The Goddard School in Shawnee (Shawnee Msn Pkwy and K-7) is great!
