Please let me know what Pediatricians you all like and use. I am looking for one that has M-F hours and preferably opens at 8am. It would be nice if they have SOME week night hours, and same day sick visits is a MUST. I don't have any friends that live in the area, so word of mouth is imperative.

Associates in Pediatrics. On Nuckols Rd. Same day sick visits yes, 8 am no. I think they open at 8:30 or 9. They have sick clinic on Sat. am.
Also, there is a daycare right across the street--Wyndham Child Development Center.
Dr. Overton, Whiley, Kirshmier and Rowe! My daughter is almost 8 and we have been going there since she was born. We see Dr. Christian - absolutely love her! The other doctors in the practice are also good. They have walk in same day sick visits (weekends until 12:00). They have 3 locations. Highly recommend!

We love Dr. Peter Heyman at Overton Wiley Kirchmier & Terr
We like all the other doctors there as well. We are now with him for our new baby as well as our toddler. He is really great.
They open at 8. Have 3 locations (Patterson Ave, Ridgfield, and Soutiside of which Ridgfield is the nicest because it's newer). If your kid is sick you can bring him without calling. I always call to see where our doctor is and if he's not at Southside I'll go to where he is (either Patterson or Ridgfield). If he's at Southside I'll go to Ridgfield (our usual office) and sign up to whomever is first available. Their nurse practitionerse are great too. They have a sick waiting area and a waiting area for well appointments which is really nice because then the chances of your kid getting sick when you are there for a well visit are smaller.
On the weekends they are open at Patterson from 8 am to noon though it's always packed! But better than going to Patient First or the ER for little stuff.
After hours (after 5 pm) they have a nurse hot-line and if needed a doctor will call you back after you talk to the nurse on call.
They are really really great there. We are so happy we ended up with them and didn't need to swtich practices like so many other parents I know because they didn't like their doctor or practice.

By the way, if you want to meet with him first to decide if you like him they schedule meetings with him after hours (at 5 pm) all the time so you just need to call and ask for one
I would also recommend Associates in Pediatrics on Nuckols Rd. You can check out their website at www.associatesinpediatrics.net. Plus on Pouncey Tract Rd in Short Pump there is a KidMed urgent care center that is open M-F 3pm-11pm and S-S noon-10pm. Good luck on your move. We moved here a year ago and love it.

Drs. Overton, Wiley & Kirchmier. They are a huge practice with a small practice feel. They have 3 locations so you can always get in. We see Dr. Peter Heymann @ the Ridgefield location (which would be close for you depending upon what part of Glen Allen you are moving to). He and my husband actually went to high school together - GREAT doctor. Both of our sons see him. They are open on Saturdays, always have a Dr. on call, open @ 8 and have sick visits (and sick and well waiting rooms). I don't know about weeknight hours. Good luck! we used the pediatric center... they have a few locations around glen allen, so you can choose the one closest to you. they have a great team of doctors and nurses, and there is always someone on call if you have any problems. we just moved to the city so i need to switch, but i would definately recommend them! they fit all the criteria you mentioned above. good luck!
