Need OBGYN in Bev. Hills, LA, or Studio City Area.

I am seeking a female OBGYN for 1st pregnancy. I have one currently, but she is quite rushed. I am more on the natural birth tip, but since I am 38, would feel more comfortable birthing in a hospital. Need someone that is not going to be pushy about inducing, etc....
Someone that is easy going and will allow nature to take it's course. Thanks so much for your help!

Dr. Ruth Cousineau is fantastic. I was 41 years old when I had my first child at Cedars with no intervention...just some monitering and no drugs, no IV. Her number is ###-###-####.

Hi! I highly, highly recommend Dr. David Kline. He was my back-up obgyn in case I couldn't have the home birth I had planned. He performed an external cephalic version on me at Cedars and he is phenomenal!!! His office's address is 10309 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles. He works with many of the home birth families at the midwifery I used and everyone was very pleased with him. I was so pleased that I'm making him my permanent obgyn! Good luck!

Dr. Kim Reyes in Burbank is WONDERFUL! She is very personable and I was not a super-easy pregnancy (hyperemesis at its finest!). She even called me on her own time on a Saturday to see how I was doing one extra hard week! She delivers at St. Josephs in Burbank and is very much into going as natural as possible, putting the baby right on you to nurse right when the baby comes out, etc. Her number is ###-###-####. She let me have a lot of say in waiting to be induced to see what would happen, but when I didn't have a choice anymore, she still let me drink fluids, come off the moitors a lot to walk around, etc., etc. I had our daughter with no pain drugs and it was just how I envisioned bonding with our baby right at birth. She's the best!

I had the most wonderful OBGYN for my son's delivery. Her name is Dr. Christina Adberg. She is a Cedars-Sinai doctor. My insurance changed so I am no longer her patient, but absolutely would be if I could. She sometimes has a wait list, but is worth the wait. You may be able to move more quickly up the list if you are expecting. Just a side not, many of the nurses on shift were trying to get onto my case for my delivery because they wanted to work with Dr. Adberg. She is that good.
Her number is:

*She is in the same practice as Dr. Collins who another recommended...Heldfond Group. Most all are great docs.

Love mine and her name is Rebecca Brown in Bev Hills. She delivers at Cedars and is very sweet and easy going...like having a friend in the room instead of a hurried doctor. She delivered my first baby 6 months ago. The others in the practice are really nice too and they have a 3D sonogram machine in the office so it's wonderful to see the baby all the time. The number is ###-###-####.

Dr. Emily Sikking in Santa Monica sounds like she would be a great fit for you! She has a private practice so there's a lot of individual attention, is very pro natural childbirth and tries to use interventions as little as possible, and has great relationships with perinatologists if any consults are needed. Just has a lovely manner. Not sure if that's too far on the Westside for you, but if you're up for it, she's wonderful. Good luck and congratulations!

Debbie Frank is a certified Nurse Midwife who works in Beverly Hills and is backed up by Dr. PAul Crane and Anthony Chin. She can help you deliver your baby in the hospital, either UCLA or Cedars I believe, and give great pre-natal care. Not rushed at all. She has been at it for over 20 years and is knowledgeable and caring. She went out of her way to be with me through a C-section because my baby was breech. They knew she was breech and still let me go into labor naturally. An amazing team! ###-###-####

I second Sheeva's response about Debbie Frank. I had the team of her and Dr Paul Crane for my delivery and they were amazing. Debbie came to my house as soon as I thought I was in labor( I live in Sherman Oaks and believe she lives close by) to see how far along I was. She was comforting and wonderful and by my side the whole time. I didn't want any drugs and not only were they both very supportive of that, but Debbie was there, massaging when I needed it, putting me in the shower (which felt so soothing when you are in labor), and was talking me through everything. Even though I ended up having a C-section after 23 hours of labor ( my son was almost 10 lbs and I wouldn't dilate past 7), they helped me make the best choice for me and my baby. I am definitely going back to them for my next child. FYi.. they refer to Dr Crane as the only male OBGYN that is "mothering." I loved him and was always reluctant to having a male OBGYN and didn't have one until him. Best of luck to you. It is an amazing journey you are going on, enjoy it.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I very highly recommend Dr. Banooni. He is an amazing doctor. I had some difficulties in my pregnancy, and, therefore, a long list of questions every time I saw him (as well as a number of phone calls). He was always patient, helpful and compassionate. He took every concern of mine seriously.

I, too, was hoping for as natural of a birth as possible (I was 38 and had some issues to take into consideration). He happily allowed a doula in the birth with us, accepted my birth plan and stuck to it as much as he could always putting my safety first but keeping in mind my wishes. (He also was voted doctor of the year by the doula association so is recognized as someone who respects the ideas of natural birth when possible.)

He's in BH, ###-###-####.

Enjoy this time!
