I would try Texas Back Institute, they are at Presby Plano (I think). But they deal with all kinds of back pain and issues. People come from all around to.go there. I have heard great things about them. Good luck in finding someone!
Hi Mamas!
I'm suffering from 3 months of lower back pain and am now on the route of finding a neurosurgeon to see if they can help. I've been to the chiropractor 3 times a week for 2 of those months (and insurance money has now run out for chiropractors)...so, now on to someone else that hopefully can help and insurance can pay. Does anyone have a good referal of a neurosurgeon in the Plano or surrounding areas?
Thx Ladies!

You don't say why you have pain, but if you haven't already, I would see a chiropractor. They're cheaper and easier to find, and may very well fix the problem. Most back pain is due to alignment problems that can be corrected with manipulation. If he can't help, he can recommend someone for you.
Carlos Acosta in Arlington at USMD Hospital. He is one of the top neurosurgeons that I have ever heard of. He did surgery on my husbands back several years back and he has had no issues with it whatsoever. Great doctor.
I think Jeffrey Cattorini MD and Luis Mignucci MD are both phenomenal.
I second Dr. Cattorini or Dr. Mignucci.
Dr Brett Morgan has a good reputation. You can also try pain doctors that do injections of steroids and meds into your problem areas. Dr Rodrique is awesome!
Dr. Scott Blumenthal at Texas Back Institute in Plano is great.
Luis Mignucci, MD, Walter Loyola, MD or Jeffrey Cattorini, MD
