I used to make individual pizza's on English Muffins halves. Just put on sauce..then cheese or pepperoni or what every toppings you want... pop them in the oven or micro and it's done. serve with veggies and ranch dressing. Kids love them.
The moms at my son's school take turns bringing lunch in and I have three turns in a row and am out of ideas. I just brought in mini turkey sandwiches along with carrots and fruit chews and pretzels and for my sons bday at class I am bringing Mac 'n cheese as thats his favorite. But this week I have another lunch to bring in and cant figure out what to bring. No peanuts are allowed and they dont want us bringing in chicken fingers too often. Any EASY ideas would be greatly appreciated! Oops forgot to mention he is 3 1/2 and the class is 3 and 4 year olds.
Thanks everyone for those ideas. I will be using them in the future for both school and my kids lunches. I wound up serving those mini pizza bagels along with yogurt and apples. and then, it was funny because one of the moms int he other class had a LOAD of leftover macaroni and cheese so we brought that in too. about half the kids ate the pizza bagels and the other half ate the mac and cheese and EVERYONE wanted more Gogurt sticks. I have another lunch next week and my little one has already requested mac n cheese so I will have to think of other healthy stuff to go with it. Oddly enough, the kids hardly ever eat the fruit and veggies that any of the moms bring in. some do, but most leave it on their plate.

Deli ham wrapped around cheese sticks
Depending on the age of the kids .....
I would use the idea of a veggie/relish tray.
Most kids (at least ALL the ones I know) love olives. You can use green and/or black (black is the preferred olive among the kids we "run" with...)
Slice up some cucumbers, and cheese. Each plate gets some crackers (Ritz work great!) with a slice of cheese on top of each cracker, a few cucumber slices, 5 or 6 olives, and a roll-up or 2 of turkey or ham (stuck through with a decorative toothpick- you can even stick it through an olive before you stick the meat with it - the kids love that kind of stuff). Add some carrot sticks if you like, or little yogurt cups (maybe a "go-gurt" instead?) and a bottle of water. (The juice is just sugar anyway).
Nobody will go hungry, there will be something that they will all eat, and it's all good for them. The cheese and meat rolls will provide plenty of protein. And if you go with yogurt too, that is an extra "dose" of protein.. great for their brains!
Hi
Once I took in little wieners wrapped in biscuit dough. The kids loved them! Plus I added pretzels with it and juice. It seemed they all liked that lunch! I also wrapped a few Turkey hot dogs cut up into bite size pieces wrapped, for those who weren't allowed the hot dogs meat or just liked turkey better. I hope this helps you! Good luck & God bless you!
Sincerely,
Kathy N.
What age is your son?
You can make little mini hotdogs or sausages with a pretzel stick stuck in it.
You can order pizza.
You can make PB&J sandwiches.
Hot dog roll ups. Get tortillas, two pieces of cheese and two hot dogs. Heat up for about 30 seconds, then roll and cut between the hot dogs for two hot dog roll ups. Add apples, pretzel sticks, popcorn, etc.
My son's school is a peanut-free school, so I pack Sunbutter sandwiches for him sometimes. You can cut the sandwiches into special shapes, even get the kids to make their own sandwiches, if you want. With a side of fruit (Sam's had some YUMMY pears last week) and a drink. You should be covered with ease. Maybe introduce a new jelly flavor to the kids this way? My son LOVES picking out a new jar. His favorite thus far is boysenberry.
I am not sure of the age range but if the food is colorful I think most will give it a shot...
-Tacos with chips and salsa or chips and cheese dip.
-Mini burgers and maybe baked sweet potato fries.
-Grilled cheese and a fruit salad.
-Veggie pizza and yogurt.
-Pasta Salad and a fruit with some whip cream.
hope this helps...
best of luck!!
I have 3 girls 6, 4, and 22 months and this is always a hit when we have play dates, and is so simple. We serve cheese cubes and lunch meat rolls with assorted crackers. The kids love it and there is really no work. You can buy the cheese already cubed and just roll the lunch meat sometimes we combine 2 kinds of meats then just cut the rolls into bite site pieces. Enjoy!
Hi, J.. How about little grilled cheese sandwiches with carrotts and all? You can cut the sandwiches in half and they can eat them as triangles or rectangles, depending on how you cut them. You could also make ham and cheese melts.
Enjoy!

J.,
This is not an easy one, as most kids are pretty picky. How about something like corn dog bites, or corn dogs, or pop corn chicken bites. And with food allergies you really have to be careful as well. Hope these couple of ideas help.

PB&J and cut them out with a shaped cookie cutter. Pasta with tomato sauce, egg salad sandwhiches.
melon balls is always a hit. Small cut fresh veggies and some kind of dip works well. both as sides, of course.
Good luck with the "main dish"!
