Need Insight on Chandler Subdivisions

My husband and I along with our 20 month old daughter will soon be moving to Chandler for my hubbie's job. We just visited and toured the area and were very pleased. We absolutely loved Fulton Ranch, but it would be cutting it close to get a house there in our price range. One of the reasons we liked that area so much was that it was close to all the shopping and restaurants and seemed to be a good neighborhood to meet other families like ourselves. We did see some other really great neighborhoods that I would be much more comfortable with price wise, but they were a little further out and even into Gilbert which I know is a great town too. I guess my question is, will we be missing out if we choose a different neighborhood or is Fulton Ranch the place to be for people in our situation and worth the extra money? Thanks!!

What can I do next?

There are so many other family friendly locations in Chandler besides Fulton Ranch. Check out the 85226 area. I cannot think what the subdivisons are called but there are quite a few with not only great schools but great kids and families as well.
From approximately McClintock Ave. on the East to to Rural Rd.on the west, and Warner in the North and Frye on the south.

If you like Fulton Ranch you should choose an area between Dobson and Lindsay Rds and Germann to Chandler Heights.

www.aznb.com you can search neighborhoods by a map.

You will be fine choosing another neighborhood, honestly they are all great around this area. We are in Carino Estates next to Arden Park and it is very friendly and close to everything. Fulton Ranch is nice and new, but still really pricey for what you get in there compared to a mile away.

Good luck you will love the area!! I have lived here for 10 years. The City of Chandler has excellent programs for kids of all ages.

Springfield Lakes and Sun River (Riggs and Gilbert) are also nice neighborhoods and great for kids. We have lived in SL for 9 years, have 3 little kids and enjoy watching them play with kids their age each evening in our front yard and cul de sac. Knowing our neighbors and having parties with them on holidays and birthdays and just sharing a beverage while we watch our kids play is a blessing in itself.
If Fulton Ranch stretches your budget too much, please look elsewhere. It's a nice place, but by no means the only place to live. Buying a house out of your price range in this economy is just not wise. There's too many variables with life and the economy. Best wishes on your house hunt.

I live in Arden Park which is near Fulton Ranch. We love our community and felt that our children are receiving a quality education. They have also made several friends who are also our neighbors. Hopefully that will help with your decision.

I loved the Fulton Ranch homes floorplans as well, but if you are wanting a cheaper home that is still Fulton Homes builders and same floor plans as the Fulton Homes development, check out Freeman Farms by Fulton Homes (Greenfield/Ocotillo area). They were significantly cheaper in price for the same exact homes. I was in love with the Carribean floorplan that was like 4,065 sq ft. You will love the area and the schools there are wonderful as well. Good luck on your search.
