My son's birthday party is this weekend and it will be a combo. Spider Man/Bat Man party. I'm looking for game and food ideas to incorporate this theme. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

Food ideas-fruit snacks! I usually just do cake & ice cream & a pinata instead of goodie bags. You could do cupcakes & stick a fruit snack of either kind (you can find both) on top-add some sprinkles before you throw on the fruit snack & you've got cool cupcakes.
I don't normally do games, but we had a one-handed birthday boy this year (broke his arm a week before his bday) & I did one-handed free throws & just let them run around.
You could get some foam visors from Walmart & let them decorate them w/stickers, markers & whatever else you can think of. They can make their own summer superhero visor.

super strength events like water balloons, balance beam walk and pretty much any athletic activity.

How fun! My son is way into superheroes too and would love something like that! :o)

Here are a few ideas...
* make your own mask/cape
* everyone come in costume - dressed as your fav superhero
* bike/tryke race (batcycles!)
* teamwork games (super friends) - like work together to get all of the water balloons back in the basket or work to save all of the stuffed animals and get them back to their homes/the zoo/the forest/etc
* edible spiders made from chocolate covered strawberries with back licorice string legs
* blue and yellow jello jiggler bats
* blue and yellow/red and black decorations
* team games could have a spidey team and a batman team (use colors or masks to tell who is on which team) - ball in the hoop, scavenger hunts, any game really

Not a ton of ideas, but I hope it helps a little. Have a blast! :o)

How about a make-your-own-cape for a craft activity? You could use cheap fabric and paints, or just butcher paper. You could use little foam decorations to glue with a glue stick. If you pre-cut the fabric or paper, it will be easy even for that age group. Have fun!

String yarn from tree to tree, crossing over them all over the yard. They have to follow the sring to get to the end which has treasure bags.
