My daughter's birthday is at the beginning of Jan, so right after Christmas. I know it is a couple of months away, but I need to start looking at places or ideas since the holidays would be around the same time to plan her birthday.
Plus, never know if it will be cold or not in Jan, so some outdoor activies might not work.
Many of our friends have their kids parties at Gymboree and A Kids Gym. I am trying to find something a little bit different and not to expensive. There is kids from 1-5 that would be coming. I have thought about pony rides that come to the house or one of other birthday party places around. Any other ideas?

What can I do next?

I'm not sure where you're located, but there's a neat place off 434 called Birthday World. It's an indoor mini amusement park. There is a height requirement for the rides that I think is 36", but I would check that for sure. The website is www.birthdayworldorlando.com. Good Luck!

Depending on where you live there are the indoor inflatable party places. Ones I know of are Monkey Joes in Orlando and Apopka, Jumpin Joeys in Clermont and Kanga Room in orlando. They are indoor places with inflatable bounce houses for all ages. They have a few dedicated to the under 3 year olds then they have the larger ones that everyone can go on. They should have party packages and most of them allow one adult to bounce for free with a paying child.

We had my son's 2nd birthday at Monkey Joe's in Winter Park. We only had 8 kids so we didn't pay for a party room, but they do have them available. What we did instead was I paid for all of the kids by buying a frequent user card and then after they played for a couple of hours we walked down to the pizza place in the same plaza. We told them ahead of time that we were coming and how many we had-- they had a long table ready for us and our pizzas were ready when we got there- plus they held the cake for us (they open at 11:00-- MJ's opens as 10:00)

Hi....we had our son's 2nd Birthday at the Silly Monkey Cafe in the Seminole Town center Mall. I can't quite remember how much it was, but it was reasonable for a party of up to about 12 kids (there are different options). The price includes pizza, soft drinks, use of the play area and a train ride. You can add on optional extra's like balloons, party favors etc.....they decorate the tables for you and supply silverware etc. You have a host/ess with you and they are at your beck and call and we really did n't have much of a time restriction,as we had an evening party and stayed until closing. They were extremely accomodating, which was important to us and adults and children alike had a good time, we had age ranges from newborn to 13yrs! Hope this is useful?
