I am trying to plan a frugal, yet fun birthday party for my son (turning 2) and would love suggestions for venues, crafts and activities. He had chosen Mickey Mouse as his theme. We are in the GP/Arlington area and would like to stay local if possible.

What can I do next?

Abbey's Playtown in Grand Prairie is a great place! It is very small child friendly. We love it there!

I also live in Arlington and for my daughter's 2nd birthday we rented a bounce house, bought cake and pizza and everyone just hung out. Plus after all that bouncing all afternoon the kids sleep well. :)

McDonald's was the most economical, low stress birthday we've ever done, and I've done that twice. They set up (balloons, plates, cups, napkins, treat bag), the entertainment is provided, and they clean up. It costs about $4 per kid and includes the ice cream. You can bring the cake or they'll provide.

Hello! I am from GP as well and I own a mobile shaved ice business. For $50 you can have us out to your house or a park and have the best shaved ice delivered to you!

We can even customize a menu with a Mickey Mouse theme and themed flavors like Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse and so on.

Good Luck!
