When my second child was born, my mother bought my oldest a hat from the hospital gift shop that said, "I'm a big sister!" She wore it proudly for everyone to see!
I am thinking about getting my son a gift from his new baby sister (due in April). Does anyone have any ideas? I was going to get him a big brother book ,but I would like something else as well. Thanks

I have 4 kids and I always gave them a "I'm the big Brother/Sister" shirt or button that you can usualy get at the party supply stores.. But one thing they really seemed to love was a inexpensive photo album that I would put pictures of them holding their new sibling. They LOVED showing offto everyone and felt that they were at the center of attention when everyone was checking out their book!
They have the cutest "I'm the big brother" shirts at Personalcreations.com, also find something he really likes, wrap it up and the day you bring your daughter home from the hospital tell him it is from her, will win him over big time with all the new changes. We got my daughter her own boy doll with all the baby doll accessories when we brought my son home and she thought that was the greatest thing ever, even named him the same as my son. She wore her "Im the big sister" shirt with pride a lot!!!!
Congrats on your new arrival!
I had a almost 3 year old son when my baby was born, we had no clue what to get big brother. My baby was born last Easter so we got big brother a big stuffed bunny from the baby and a little stuffed bunny for the baby my older son still keeps his bunny on his bed saying it was from his baby
Hi, We did that for our daughter when our son was born. Peter Pan had just come out on DVD so we got that for her from our son. She was so happy and got to watch it while I was busy with the baby. I know that 101 Dalmatians comes out tomorrow.
You didn't mention how old your son is. Our son was three. We gave him a book for his leap pad. Someone else gave him some toys, and someone else some books. Anything you get will be special. A year and a half later our son still remembers everything he got when he got a brother. Congratulations!
J.,
How about a baby doll of his own and a truck. He can play taking care of baby sister and still enjoy playing with what every little boy loves(a truck)
Blessings on your new little one,

Just a cool toy that he's into right now. We gave our 18 month old boy a corn popper (should have thought a little more about that- but he loved it!), and gave our 3 year old and 4 year old boys cars from the Cars movie- they loved them- we wrapped them up and said they came from the baby- they still believe that I think! So cute!
