sorry - have a few stains I'm having problems with
* one is getting grass stains out;
* ink off of Disney "decal" (got out of material of shirts);
* "dirt" on daughter's pants (think it's actually the playground material - black - after a mere 20 minutes at recess new pants always ruined)
* very goopy pink lipgloss all over my youngest girl's sweater type hat and collar of sweater (she's not yet 2 and got a hold of it)
* my last and hardest - we were at a party where the host had a pumpkin painting activity for the kids - but she used mostly - ugh - fabric paint! I managed to find some light colored washable ones for my daughters then left them w/ my mo-on-law a few minutes to see them in dark green - yes, fabric! - paint! all over their new jeans and sweater and new coat!

I'm worried about trying lots of things that may set the stains in - please help!any ideas are appreciated! thanks!
* my last and hardest I think

What can I do next?

I use simple green on most stains and it works great. Especially on the greasy, sticky stuff.
Grass stains- I have no idea! I have 3 boys and all of their stuff gets grass stained almost immediately!I will try some of the other suggestions.

You can also try Fels Naptha it's a bar of soap usually in the laundry aisle. I've used that in combination with Simple Green and have gotten some tough stains out. My husband also had an ink pen in his pocket that I didn't know about and it went through the dryer and caused a BIG mess. I used a combination of Simple green and the stain devils for ink and Fels Naptha but what worked the best was rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and blotting it over and over it was time consuming but it took almost all the stain out. Also if you are into cook books Amish ones have alot of home remedies in them for just about everything (that is where I got the rubbing alcohol idea).

I so feel your pain. My daughter has ruined so many shirts from using the "washable" paint during craft time at the preschool. Good Luck! Oh and did I mention the millions of nasty socks from ground in dirt?

when my daughter decided to leave a lipstick in her pants pocket and get all of our jeans covered in lipstick i was horrified.I got lestoil and rubbed it on the lipstick stains and voila all gone.also try zout stain remover.not shout---Zout in the laundry section.also never put laundry in dryer until you get the stains out,because once dryed you'll never remove them.
good luck

soak everything for 1/2 a day in OXYCLEA & hot water... it might not work on every stain, but it is AMAZING with stains. Just be careful with some naturally dyed fabrics...a s it can ruin the dye.
Good luck!!!

Hey- Ihave just the thing!
In the ACME in the laundry detergent aisle on the top rack are these little yellow bottles called "stain devils" I think they are made by a company called "Carbona" or something like that. THey make specialized stain removers for each one of your stains. There is one jut for grass stains, I would suggest a grease and oil one for the playground dirt (blacktop oil I assume?). There is also one for ink, one for make-up, and one for paint. They also have one for blood (saved me a few pairs of jeans when my cycle was off!). I have used several of these and if you use them as pre-treaters and then again just as you put the clothes in the wash I have always had success!
Good luck- hope this helps!

If you still need help with stains, When all else fails,LEST oil works wonders. I get a lot of hand-me-downs from friends, some of which are a few years old, with stains from typical boys; LEST oil works everytime. The only downfall is the scent. It's such a strong cleaning product, your whole load will smell like it. I let it soak in for a while, then give it a good rinse before adding to the laundry. Hope this helps

I use "goo gone" or "desolve it" to get out a lot of stuff. It is good on oils, lips stick crayon etc. It will even take out grease/oil stains even after they have been set ( as in washed and dried). Someone also told me for grass stains to cut a potato in half and rub it on the stain. It did a pretty good job but might need a couple washings.
