Please help! I have called several OBGYN offices and no one will accept a new patient that is 17 weeks pregnant. I just received my insurance card and tired to schedule my first appointment (FINALLY) and now everyone is telling me I'm too far along to be seen! I don't know what to do!
I don't know if my Dr's group is accepting new patients or not but they are North Texas OB/Gyn. Located in Plano at Parkwood/Spring Creek. My Dr. is Ivan Rovner and he is fantastic.
Call Planned Parenthood and see if they have any ideas as well.

I have never heard of that, and actually, I moved when I was 17 weeks pregnant and had no trouble finding a new Obstetrician. I went to Frisco Obstetrics and Gynecology, they are great group of doctors.
Could it be an insurance issue?
I have never heard of being too far along to be accepted as a new patient but I would like to recommend to you the OBGYN I have and am currently using. He is amazing! Takes excellent care of his patients and is very knowledgeable - he has seen me through very critical issues during my pregnancy. I tried calling them to ask if they accept new patients at 17 weeks but they are still closed this morning. If you like, try giving them a call.
