I don't think the Humane Society ever refuses an animal if you take it there. At least, I've never heard of that happening.
Hello moms. My family and I were in a bad situation and had to move rather quickly. We cannot take our cat with us where we are. Currently a neighbor has our cat and she cannot keep her more than a few days. We are in desperate need of a home for our cat. We love her very much and want her to get a good home. I have contacted all of my family and friends and no one can find a place for her. I have tried to contact every agency in my area including the agency we got her from which will not call us back, the humane society and the APA. I have already looked at metroanimal.org. NO ONE CAN TAKE HER! I do not know what to do! I need help immediately! What are owners supposed to do when absolutely no one will help?
Thanks for your posts. The humane society did tell me that they were so full that they had animals in the hallways! Most places will not take pets turned in by their owners. Thankfully after reaching out to so many agencies, I finally receive a call from the agency that we adopted the cat from and they are going to take her back.

Also try Petfinder.com and visit local vet offices and put up a flier with a picture, explaining your situation. Sorry you have to do this.
We had an issue with our cat and we took her to the pound. She was adopted a couple days later. We also tried Petfinder, posting signs at the vet and rescues. The only way your cat is going to find a home is by someone seeing her and that's not going to happen through a posting. Visit your local pound/animal control and see what it's like. It might be more welcoming than you think. Good-luck.
http://www.nokillnetwork.org/d/Missouri/ try this link. I know there are LOTS of places to take cats. Call Pet Co and find out who the agencies are that come into their stores for adoptions.
petfinder or call all vets/rescues in your area.. Beg them that you'll give them a donation to take your cat...
Yes, you can call a farm close to you if you have no other options...
