My husband and I have not gone to church in a really long time and we are wanting to get back into a good Catholic Church. We are expecting our first child in September and we would really like her to grow up with the option of going to a good church. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What can I do next?

St. Michaels in Bedford is a GREAT church. They have lots of great programs for all ages. My kids love the church. We spent many years and tried many different faiths. I grew up Catholic and was very pleased when my children chose a Catholic church..GOOD LUCK.

We love St. Andrews Catholic Church in Fort Worth right by TCU. It is a wonderful church and they have a great school if you are interested in your child going to a good private school. They have a very nicely sized "cry room" for when your little one is a baby that we spent a bit of time in when the kids were young. Congratulations on the impending arrival of your little angel!

I taught at St. Andrew's in Ft. Worth, which someone already mentioned. They have a wonderful community. Now I live in Mansfield, and our family has been going to St. Jude in Mansfield for four years and we love it. When we left St. Andrew's (simply because it was too far away) we had a hard time finding a church that felt "right." We tried St. Maria's in Arlington. It's where I went when I was growing up, but it's just so big, but very nice. We also tried a couple of others. Good luck, I know it's hard to find a church that feels like home. :-)

We attend Holy Family and love it. Our kids are 2 and 4....they don't have a separate cry room, but there is a glassed in atrium area that allows you to see and hear but keeps your kids noise down. I liked St. Andrews as a parish too (we tried out a few before deciding) but I'm not a big fan of the cry room there. Some parents loved it, but honestly I got nothing out of Mass when I was in there because it was too distracting with all the kids in one place. Instead we just took ours into church with us at Holy Family with color books and took them out if they acted up. Now that our baby is 2 she attends their nursery. I am less than impressed with the nursery for babies, but it is fine for her age. They have a great children's service for 4 and up where they take them out for the readings and homily. The kids hear a kid-related reading and discuss it and do a craft. My son LOVES it. It also has a school and pre-school from 3 up, but I haven't looked into the school yet.

Hi, my family attends St. Vincents on Green Oaks in Arlington. They have service on sat night and 3 on sundays to choose from. They have lots of stuff for the kids to do. We attend the 10:45 mass, it is more kid friendly so at times it does get kinda loud but then when our kids act up we don't feel to bad.

We go to Holy Family. We like it. We chose it for the things they offer for the kids.
