Hey Mommas...My oldest is turning 4 in January...need help figuring out good options for a birthday party for her. I found a place in Plano that sounds great, Kreative Kidz Partyz off the Tollway, near Barksdale Elem. Has anyone ever been there for a party or had a party there? Also, my daughter's birthday is on Tues. 1/5...do you think having her party on Sat. 1/2 is a bad idea??? The day right after New Years....also, do you think having a Bday party on a Sunday is a bad idea, 10:30 am or 1pm?? We are transplants to Dallas, so we have no family, so the party would be her friends from her daycare.....let me know what you think and if any of you have ever been to that location for a party....thank you all in advance for you help! I'm not a very good "party planning" type of Mom....:( Also, if you have any other suggestions or ideas I'm up for those as well!! We live up off 380, but she goes to school in Lewisville near my office......Thanks!

What can I do next?

If it were me, I'd probably wait until the weekend after her birthday rather than right after New Year's. Not sure what my reasoning is other than it being right after New Year's -- especially since my household doesn't usually do anything for NY's?? :)

I would also avoid early Sunday but I've never had a problem with Sunday afternoon parties (both having or going to them).

And finally, Kreative Kids is a LOT of fun! We attended a party there (4 year olds) earlier this year and it was very well put together. The kids start out playing in the bounce house and once everyone is there, they move to the "big" room and get to dress up. Then they get to play games, take pictures, go a scavenger hunt. Once all the playing is complete, they go to another room for cake and ice cream. The kids had a ball!

Good luck!

I have two kids with b-days right after xmass, and we let the kids pick whatever they what for dinner or lunch and whatever toy they want. Then in the summer they have a party with friends. That has worked for us. Sunday morning may not work because of church for many families, and sleeping in for others ;) I would do as others suggest and set the date abit later. I think Kreative Kids sounds great, but know jump it up well; It is fun.

Hey K.!

Birthday parties are so much fun! I own a couple of Primrose Schools in Plano and all the buz right now around my 4 year old classes is a place called "Pump it up". I personally have never been, but they all seem to just love it. It is a facility that has bounce houses, slides, climbing walls, all sorts of those big blown up bouncy things.

Here is the website... http://www.pumpitupparty.com/

Good luck and let me know what you ended up doing. If you like it I will share with my mom's at Primrose!

Take care,
Kristie

Hi K.,
My son has a Dec. 26th b-day so I can relate. We are doing the Lego Store party this year. I would say early on a Sunday would not work very well. There are tons of great ideas on metroplexbaby.com under b-day party locations too :) Good Luck
Under your about me you mentioned working at home-I have been with a legit company for 5 years now and love it. You can pm me or visit www.WorkAtHomeUnited.com/jobs to request info :)

two of my kids have holiday bdays. one is 1/5, he's turning 4 this year! we are having his party on 1/9. my other son is turning 7 on 12/26, we are doing his party on 1/16. i would not do a party on 1/2, you have to figure some ppl are still going to be out of town or may still have company.

forgot to add: b/c my kids will likely never have party on their actual birthdate, we ALWAYS go to chuck e cheese on their birthdates, eat pizza, they pick a character themed cake from the grocery store for that day, and they do get their bday presents from us and their grandparents on that day.
