Wait, isn't Kerry from Massachusetts? If that is the case don't you have Obamacare light? Not to sound evil or anything but aren't you able to buy into the state plan if anything goes wrong? If so what is the worry?
Hi all. I live in Mass and we need health ins ASAP. My husband is self-employed and we were on the state plan which just ended. So we need to get new insurance, but there are all these open enrollment dates. UGH.
Anyone know of insurance we can get ASAP? Even if it is just a temporary plan - catastrophic plan....
I am freaking out that we are without insurance. Thanks!

As long as you're in relative good health, Assurant offers a reasonably priced short-term catastrophic plan. You can check their website for all the information.
If you had insurance for at least 18 months and have not been without it for more than 62 days, you should be able to get a waiver for open enrollment. Go to the mass health connector website at mahealthconnector.org. It will walk you through the waiver process.
I'm not familiar with it, but you might want to look into Ameriplan. G. Rice used to be with them; you might want to contact her: ____@____.com luck!
I'm an insurance agent in AZ. You should be able to find a local independent agent that can help you find something. Try to do it before 11/1 as they usually only do first of the month effective dates but you have to get an application in before then. Good luck.
