Hi Moms~
Tuesday is my daughters first HAlloween party for school:) So exciting! I signed up for veggies. How can I make the veggies fun and exciting for the party? We can't use any peanut products. I was thinking of making something out of the veggies...just cant think of how. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

So today was the big day...made the cat veggie plate:) My daughter loved it! Instead of the bean dip I used ranch dressing...Thank you ALL:)

Slice up finger food veggies~ cucumbers, carrots, red and orange bell peppers, celery, etc and make some homemade ranch dressing and dye it green (or whatever color you wish) and call it the dippping brew... put it into some kind of cute halloween type container, like a little caulderon or pumpkin.
Have it all layed out on a festive, decorated tray.
**The dry pack of hidden valley ranch tastes so much better than the bottled stuff, kids love it. I have a bottle of the already made in my fridge for emergencies but the taste is so vastly different that I can hardly stand it.

On the kraft website there was a recipe using apples and almond slivers called ghastly ghoul smiles, it looked cute! I find lots of my ideas come from Kraft or Taste of Homes websites...

You could arrange cut up veggies in Halloween shapes (a skeleton with celery ribs - haha).
You could put the dip in a mini-pumpkin or cut the mini-pumpkin and put a small bowl of dip inside.
Sounds like fun!

If you have time and tooth picks you can make little veggie gouhls faces... Carrots sliced daigonaly so you have larger pieces, and then use a little dab of dip to hold the red pepper eyes, carrot tip nose and radish curl mouth in place. Try to avoid tooth picks so they don't accidently jab themselvles eating...

Also, broccolli florets make great hair, but are hard to keep in place.

Have fun!

If you have time, you could even do some pumpkin seeds as well, if the kids are old enough to handle them.
