Good Morning!

Just wondering if you have suggestions of neat places to get good quality Halloween customes? I know i'm a little late getting customes for my little girls, so probably most places probably do not have much left.

Thanks in advance,
M.

Joann's is having a big sale right now (50% off). They had costumes, make up, hats, etc. all on sale. Marshall's also had a bunch of costumes too. I bet TJ Maxx and the like would also have them.

When my children were little, I didn't buy them the pre-made costumes sold at stores because I didn't have that much money to spend and I hated that they could only be worn maybe once and were made so cheap. Instead, I made them up one out of various items, which they had or I purchased that could be worn again and again, and added a few purchased things. The first year my oldest daughter wore a snow suit that was made like a lion and I just painted up her face. She stayed warm and could wear it again. The next year I bought a sweat suit that looked like Minnie Mouse. The hoodie had ears and a bow and a little polka dot skirt attached. I bought her a polka dot head band to match. The next year she wore one of those pajama sleepers, which had bunnies on it. I pinned a cottontail to the back and bought her a rabbits nose and ears. Another year a bought a black ballet leotard and tights and pinned a black tail on the back and bought kitty ears and nose. When her sister was 1 year old I used a pageant type dress she had. I bought a straw hat and put a bow on it and curled her hair in ringlets. I made her a shepherds crook and dressed her sister up who was 1 at the time like a sheep. They were Little Bow Peep and her sheep. Most of these items we already had or if I purchased them, they could be used again for daily wear. They cost a little and were so cute. The whole point is why spend alot for something made cheap they can only wear the one time when you can purchase items to be used later and it's fun to use your imagination. The kids love it and you will have lots of fond memories of putting it together. Good Luck.

Party City has a TON of choices. I've also heard that Kid-to-Kid may have a good selection. Good Luck!

My husband and I were at Party City last night...they have a lot of costumes, but not very many that I will actually approve of my 2-year-old wearting. I think I counted 5 different ones that we feel are appropriate. We also were at SuperTarget on Hebron and Lakepoint Dr in Lewisville, and they had a large selection, as well.

Hello! The Disney Store has cute costumes right now. They have all the Disney princesses, Rattituee (spelled wrong), Cars, Pirates of the Carribean, Tinker Bell (that's who I bought for my four year old), and many more.

There's a great costume shop in Southlake. If you take 114 and exit Kimball and go north it's the first little building on the left and it's one of the stores in there. It's called ODYSSEY COSTUMES (and Odyssey Theatrical) http://www.odysseycostumes.com/. They have a LOT more than what is on their website. You can also rent costumes and they have good hours. Good luck!
