Need Great Press on Nails!

I have an event coming up and I need french manicure stick on nails (I can't get acrylic, as I am pregnant). I hate to have to use stick ons but it is absolutely imperative that my nails look natural and GOOD. Any products out there that are realistic? It's only for one night...I don't need them to last beyond that.
As always, thanks for responding! :)

ADDED: I guess I probably should have qualified my question as to why I need these to look good and just can't go with "short" nails. I am a professional model and have a runway show for a maternity store this Saturaday (I didn't want to appear pretentious by mentioning this). Therefore I can't sport my "one nail broken" look that I have now (lol) and would like them to look semi long and nice. Plus I don't want to spend a lot of money going to the salon...it's just for a few hours I need these. :)

What can I do next?

Sorry to not answer your question, since I have no idea about presson nails, but you can get natural/organic nail products and get a manicure. If you need to have someone else do it and you're worried about fumes, try calling and ask when it will be clear and fairly empty in there. Don't forget to bring your own organic nail polish remover if that is a concern too. I agree that even really short natural nails look better than fakes.

Hi, S.,

Why not just manicure your natural nails? Even if they're short, I always think that manicured nails painted with Esse Ballet Slippers (a barely there pink often used for a French mani) is always an elegant choice.

If you have some time before the event, a weekly mani leading up to it can really improve the look of your nails faster than you might think, especially in the warmer spring weather (and probably costs the same as a set of acrylics)...

Good luck!
H.

I had acrylic nails for all 5 pregnancies and never had a doctor say a problem at all. The hospitals even will be ok as you can put the measure on your finger with tips on it.

I always heard that you can get your nails done safely after the 1st trimester. I'm actually preggo (with #4) and have my nails done regularly. I guess different drs have different beliefs as far as this goes. My old dr (w/ 3) told me to wait, but once I changed drs they had no problem with getting them done, even during the 1st trimester.
