I use to go in and change my daughter about half way through the night. It was the only thing that worked and I used the Huggies overnight diapers. Good luck! A.
My son is 25 months and is no where near being potty trained.
He consistently SOAKS through his diapers at night and although it dosent wake him , he is wet from head to toe in the morning and I have to change sheets. It is rapidly adding to my laundry.
I have tried pampers overnights and huggies overnights, I have also tried going up a size and down a size. I have also tried those "diaper doublers" inside the diaper.
Nothing seems to work.
Does someone know something I dont??? How do I stop this, what can I use? HELP!!

I dont know which brand you used but I use "Goodnites" for my 5 year old (who still wears one at night) and my 2 year old. They work great.
Hi K.,
Often that soaking is caused by multiple wettings at night. You might try checking his diaper when you go to bed. If he's already wet, a quickie diaper change in bed might prevent the soaking through. The padding in the disposable diapers starts to break down when it's wet, so they're really meant to hold only one wetting and then be changed.
You might also try cloth for nighttime.
There was a stretch of about two-three months that this happened to my son. I'm not sure that it is a diaper problem as much as it was a giving-him-too-much-to-drink-right-before-bed problem. My son grew out of it...I'm sure yours will too. Pull-ups have always been our nighttime diaper of choice.
luvs work for me and my son had a lot of diareah and peed alot. I pulled him off juice for yeast infections reasons and his number of wet diapers went down drastically. now instead of waking up soaked he wakes up wet.
I don't know how big your son is but at 2.5 my son was out of the biggest size diapers (he was around 35-40 lbs) and in pull ups in the day and Good nights at night. They are meant for bigger kids (s-m size is up to 60 lbs) and hold a lot more. My son is 4 now (49 lbs) and still needs the Good nights at night and leaks are not common.
We used pull ups as well, at one point we starting putting two diapers at night because we had the same problem. He did grow out of it and we went back to one diaper.
Good nite pull ups size small purple bag sold at target and grocery stores.. or when i am tight on money i use walgreens brand they only one in a great while leak maybe once every few months.

Hi K.,
Could it be that your son plays with his weewee in bed as a way to self-soothe to sleep, leaving it in pointing up rather than down in the diaper? My son did this for a while, and whenever he did it he ended up completely soaked, since it just leaked up instead of going down in the absorbing material.
I used to use Pampers Cruisers Ultra but switched to the Huggies nighttime pullups (the ones with Buzz Lightyear on them that someone else mentioned). They are good also. I would try to limit drinks before bedtime. I know this is difficult. I have the same problem with my son. Also, I noticed that if he has food with too much sodium he wets more. maybe try to cut down on salt.
I have the same question as you do.. I have tried everything that you have, and none of them work either. Though I am thinking of limiting my Son's fluid intake during the evening hours to see if that will help.
Pampers Cruisers with Ultra Absorbency. They are the best. I had the same problem and every other diaper would fail and my sheets were wet in the morning, until I tried these. BJ's sells them in all sizes.
Try the size small GoodNights. These are made for older kids, but we've used them for our now three-year-old daughter for over a year. They're the only thing we've found that can hold it all. The baby & little kid nighttime diapers just don't cut it.
We stopped using diapers and went to over night pull ups and have NEVER had an accident that couldn't have been prevented by actually changing him before he went to bed,my husband forgot to change him...he cleaned it up. I can't remember what brand they are but it's Huggies or another name brand from Wal-Mart, the package is a dark blue, the girls is a dark maroon or fushia. They have Buzz Light Year and Woody on the front of them. We have been very happy with the change. He was urinating and overflowing diapers every night. These just don't leak. If he urinates out of them they I would have him checked for Juvinile Diabetes, that seems to be one of the tell signs. We went through that with our 6 yr. old so I know how it can be.
My 23 month old son used to have this problem. I do a size bigger for night time. But in the past, I also put an absorbent maxi-pad in there WITH the diaper and that worked well. I've always used Pampers, having had too many leaks with Huggies.
My son goes to bed around 9ish, and so I give him 3 or 4 oz of milk at 8pm so he pees at least once in his diaper before his PJs and fresh diaper are put on. After 8:30, all he gets is maybe 1 oz of water and that's it until the morning.
Good luck!
I love Pampers brand - EXCEPT for their overnites - those don't work! I use one size bigger of the Huggies overnites for my son because we have also had MANY mornings where he wakes up soaking wet (and it's such a pain to strip his bed!). We also cut back on the amount of liquids he had after dinner. And I wait until the last possible minute to put on a nite time diaper and get him in his PJs. If he happens to wake up in the middle of the night, I check his diaper and will change him if necessary. I got to the point where I had to buy him extra PJs cause I just couldn't keep up with the laundry! Oh, and I also set up a kid's potty in our bathroom so he could sit on it before bed - he still hasn't actually peed on the potty, but it was worth a try to attempt to get everything out of him before bedtime.
Definitely try cutting back on the amount he drinks before bed and see if that makes a difference. Good luck!!
