Need Good Hair Salon

They are putting in a new salon in Time Square in Longwood, called Hair Benders, they've been around a long time and do hair shows, so I know they have to have people great at highlights. Call where they are now, I think on 436 and 434 intersection. There is another salon in Longwood, that I have women come in from other parts of Florida to go to. I have a consignment shop and listen to what these ladies talk about. I can get the name of this other shop and specifically the person they rave about. I'll send it when I get it. Take care.

D., Hands down, Karen at Hair Dynamics in Ashley Square in the heart of MetroWest knows color and highlights and is masterful. You'll love her and her salon. I've been having only her take care of my hair for 9 years. She uses highest quality products too...my hair is smooth and silky even after 9 years of consistent coloring!!! Helen M.

I know just the salon for you: Magnolias Salon and Spa in Winter Park! Julie Honohan has been doing my hair for years. She stays very current on trends, is big on continuous education, and the salon specializes in color/highlights and uses Pureology as well (she just turned me on to the glossing spray, which I love). It's hard to find someone good, who you can trust to do your hair...and you always leave wanting to go somewhere to show off your hair! Julie is a good balance of listening to your wants/needs, knowing the reality of what can be done with your specific type of hair, and asserting herself with suggestions and recommendations....re: will politely talk you out of a mullet or 80's short layers, or something that just won't work for your face/body/hair type etc. I understand the other women in the shop are quite good as well as they only want to hire the best of the best who work at a career...not just a job. I am a California-licensed cosmetologist (though haven't practiced in years), so I feel confident in knowing how to judge a good salon and stylist.

I go to Matthew Michael's Salon Experience. There are exclusively an Aveda salon which has AMAZING color. You really can't beat their products and the stylists there are also really great. I usually go to London or Ashley but have always had awesome results from others I've tried too--they are all very skilled and professional.

Christina Meza at Moriah Brandons in the Stein Mart/Fresh Market Plaza on 434...her number is ###-###-####. I'm not sure of the products she uses, but I'm very happy with my hair! I can also recommend another women who is a blonde herself and used to own her own salon, her name is Abi, I'll have to get her number from a friend, but she is right off of Sand Lake Road/434.

Corrine the owner of Alchemy ###-###-####. 2812 Edgewater Drive, Orlando, FL 32804 ~ across the street from Einstein Bagels. She is fantastic and just has a natural born talent. I had someone mess up my highlights a few years back, 5 hours and 5 people later they had it fixed just right...and she only charged me $75...which b/c it took so long, I was pretty happy with and the color she did over it was beautiful.
