Hi Moms,

I have to ship out presents to my niece/nephew who will turn 2 on Saturday! Any ideas for boy/girl twins? It's been a long time for me..
Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I just ordered a couple of bubble sets for them. Who doesn't love bubbles? My 10 yo got a giant bubble wand for her birthday and I thought- bubbles? She's too old! Apparently not- she & her older brother were out in the yard playing with it for a while.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Amazon ships pretty quickly. I've received some gifts made by Radio Flyer that I am very happy with, such as a wagon and Fold 2 Go or Grow N Go bikes (which come in primary and pastel colors). Another favorite gift has been memberships to the local zoo and aquarium. Best of luck.

I just went to a twin party and people gave them gift cards to Toys R us and Barnes and Noble. I prefer gift card since they can pick out their own gifts or books- the parents can make it a big deal about picking their own gifts out.

I absolutely LOVE playmobile 123 train sets for that age. I would buy them each a set (not the electronic one). They will play with them non stop till they are at least 5. They are a great unisex toy and all my daycare kids love playing with them. They are better than other train sets because the tracks are easy to put together and they stay together.
Here is what they look like... http://www.growingtreetoys.com/product/playmobil-123-train
you may want to actually get a set off EBAY and just have it shipped right to them as they are indestructable too so they can't really be in bad shape. And an EBAY set would have more track pieces I bet.

For the boy- any Thomas the Tank engine item will probably make him happy. Or a toy car of some sort will be a hit.

For the girl- Fisher Price makes these dolls that are like Mr. Potato head but the parts you take on and off are clothes. They are big for little 2 year olds right now. She'll love it. They have many different "Snap N Style" dolls. Here's a link to one (you can find them at any store):

Or, you can go in and get both of them a little ball pit to play in, as those are a huge hit. Make sure you get extra balls as none of them come with enough. TRU has a nice selection if you need them quick. Or, you can give them books. Books are nice to give when you don't know what else as you can never have enough books.

You can get them an age appropriate game or get them individual gifts. Just make sure that whatever it is, it can be used by both at the same time. Believe me, nothing is worse than toddlersr fighting over the same thing that only one can use at at time. Maybe Duplux blocks for each? Or a toddler car for him and doll for her if she is into that. Even a music set would work. I cannot think of who has it but there are sights that have sets of wooden musical instruments. maybe even toy r us.
