I have used Shelia Birth personally, and loved her and the office. Office staff is very friendly and are organized.
It's time for my son to get braces, and I'm looking for an orthodontist in the area. We are on TriCare Dental Military insurance, so would like advice from anyone in the same boat...or what do you think about one of these--Robert Montoya, Sheila Birth, or Janet Stinson. They are all on my plan. He only has a "mild case" and I want the most affordable orthodontist who is also good.

We LOVE Janet Stinson & her entire staff!!! She has done braces for 2 of my children & we could not be happier. Every single member of her staff is wonderful :)
Good Luck!
We use Dr Birth, she was almost 1/2 as much as Dr Lustig and Dr Bishop. We have usually always seen Dr Birth. We love the office and havent had any trouble. My son has been going there for about a year now. She also has a payment plan and does not charge interest for the length of time you need her. Lustig adviced us to take out a loan to pay our share.
I personally go to Sheila Birth. I have had my braces for about 7 months. I do not use the Keller office however. My only complaint is that you have to request to see the same doctor at each appointment due to the multiple doctors in that practice. The problem with this is that it limits you on appointment availability if you have to reschedule. A minor complaint I guess, but so far I have been pleased with her practice.
Both of my kids went to Dr. Robert Montoya. My daughter started when she was 7 years old because of extensive work needed and eventually went through 2 sets of braces by the time she was in high school. The staff was great answering all of my questions, while dealing with a young orthodontic patient. My son only needed braces for about a year. I really appreciated the patience that Dr. Montoya and his staff had while dealing with both of my kids.

The kids thought that Dr. Montoya and his staff were fun.
We LOVE Dr. Stinson! Our son got braces with her in elementary school. I don't recall it being very expensive at all, but that depends on your insurance of course. She was always very kind and friendly to all of us in the office! Good luck! She worked miracle with my son too b/c it was not a mild case. :)

My son goes to Dr. Montoya and I've been happy with him. My son got the first of two phases of the braces when he was 9. It's not that I had money burning a hole in my pocket, but wanted him to have a pretty smile as soon as possible so phase one corrected the front teeth which were horrible (they straightened up nicely). I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off by doing this because Dr. Montoya split the full cost of the braces in half and just charged me the first 1/2 for the first phase.
Best of luck!

Do not use Sheila Birth..I have several friends that go to her office and they all say that they never get to see her. They always end up seeing one of her associates. And she is more expensive than who I take my daughter to. Check and see if Dr. Jeremy Lustig is in your network. He is great and we love him. He was also less than Sheila Birth.
David McReynold's is awesome. I can tell you to not go to Rebecca Lauck.
I see Montoya (I have braces). I shopped around and went to 3 different ones for consulting and pricing. He was, by far, the cheapest as well as the most highly recommended by a couple of dentists in the area. I have really enjoyed both him and the staff. Good luck!
I used to go to Dr. Montoya when I had braces and I really liked him and his staff was very nice and pretty much knew you by first name. I hope this helps.
