Sorry if I rattle on. fyi We have a 4 yo and a 2 yo. My husband and I are buying a forclosed house. We placed the bid the last of may and they accepted. June 2 was the first of our 30 days, closing set on the 1st. The house is a 07 double wide on 3 acres for 40k. Apprased at 75k in 08. So its a great deal...not one we want to pull out of. We sold the mobile home we lived in to pay for the fees and closing. Wellsfargo has done a terrible job of keeping us informed and moving this along. They pushed us back a week. Went with the plan to move on July 3 in order to get the rest of payment. We are blessed to have several places we could stay, so we loaded 2 trailers with all of our belongings and have them parked at the inlaws. Loaded my car with what we needed. 24 days later we are still without a house. Theyve told us we were done a couple of times only for another underwriter to find something else. The seller is sick of it and have mentioned pulling out. The lastest extension was placed till Aug 6, still time, but what if they dont come through?? I cant imagine starting this process all over. We had to turn the utilities on for inspections so its just sitting there waiting to be moved into. We had to put a front door on it, fix some plumbing, we had it brush hogged and cleaned because it was a mess ( yes we jumped the gun, but really thought we'd be moving in) paid for apprasial, inspection, health inspect...alll totaling about 1500 dollars. I am sto the point that I feel defeated. Theis had been the hardest, most stressful thing. I feel deppressed and like this is never gonna end.

What can I do next?

We had a similar situation - we were buying a foreclosure and were told it was delayed right after we rented out our condo. We planned to live with my inlaws for a week - it was looking like a month. Then the whole place fell through - turned out the bank hadn't foreclosed right (we lost about $1k on home inspection, etc.) and we had to start looking again - and there was even less out there. But we did find our house! We would up living with my in-laws 3.5 months, but we got a great house in a better location in the end. Just hang in there - I know it stinks!

Since it is being foreclosed on you might need to go through the bank if you want to "rent" until you can finish the deal. You have already sunk a lot of your money into something that isn't legally yours yet so be careful!!! Be sure you are protecting yourself each step of the way.

I'm sorry your family is going through this. We've bought two foreclosures in the past, and it has been like that both times, although worse this last time with a HUD house. We lived with my aunt for about a month, so I feel your pain. Hang in there! It'll be worth it when you're finished! =)

We had a wells fargo loan on our old house and thought it would be easier to go with them because we were already customers. What a night mare, with telling us we were done and everything was ready for weeks before it was. We are not new to this we have owned 6 houses and this closing was the worse by far. Did you use a realtor? If you did they should be involved. Make sure you talk to the same person at wells fargo each time you call and document each call. maybe at this point you should talk to a supervisor but stay calm, talk slowly, do not raise your voice, you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

I am sorry that you and your family are going through this situation. I know how stressful this can be. Its this in a good neighborhood. How did you find the house. Did you ask the lord for his blessing. The reason i asked is because we are in a similiar situation and i know that the lord has his perfect hand on it no matter what obstacles have come our way. I will continue to pray for you and your family. Blessings ask the holy spirit to for his light and guidance through all of this. In his presence, a sister in christ

We were "homeless" between closings, although more conventionally than what you're going through! Could you "rent" from the owner for a month or two? That way you could get your stuff in, etc. We rented from our buyers for a month or two, then we rented the house we were buying to the old owners b/c they were building and not able to move in while we stayed with my parents. It might work, and might appease your seller's aggravation & idea to "pull out"! Just a thought. Hang in there and keep your eye on the prize!

I agree with Denise. A lot of people rent from the owner until closing is finalized.

Good luck, i can't imagine how stressfull it is, especially in this TX heat.
