Please call Dr. Russell Smith at ###-###-####. He is on 121 between Alma and Custer. My husband has been seeing him for 10 years for depression. We feel like he's saved us! Now our whole extended family goes to him for all medical care.
I still haven't found a new doctor that can be my GP "and" diagnose my depression (is it menapauseal, depression, or Bipolar?. I need someone that can help me in Mckinney (or at least, close) Someone that understands without being "Gruff" I'm so scared about going to a new doctor that I just keep putting it off. I'm sad, don't sleep...every night I go to bed I wonder how many hours I'll sleep before I wake up and worry about something, or have the Jitters...I've always had weird reactions to meds, like, Night time meds make we wired and jumpy instead of sleepy...a glass of wine makes my eyes wide open all night. Pain killers make me not sleep. I could type forever but I wont. I just need some help! Thanks for any references.

I recommend Minirth Meyer Clinics, they may just be called one or the other now. Very good and great listeners.
My mom sees a guy on the 3rd floor in the office building (Bank United bldg?) at the NW corner of Virginia and 75. I believe his name is Darren Meyer (Myer??). She is really picky about her doctors and likes him a lot. My brother also went to him for a while and liked him as well. He had problems with reactions to meds as well and that doc tried several out on him and made sure he was on the right thing before he prescribed it for an length of time. Good luck and God bless!
I had the same symptoms you describe, and I found a very sympathetic and knowledgeable ear with Barbara Dean at McKinney Family Medicine. Here is the site: http://www.mckinneymed.com/about.htm. She helped me diagnose my bipolar and helped with medication, eventually referring me to a psychiatrist who has helped TREMENDOUSLY! I hope you find some help. Do not be afraid to talk to Barbara Dean - she is very nice and sweet and helpful!
I have not had good luck with Dr's in McKinney. The ones I've gone to seemed more concerned about getting their copay than helping me out, although I have not gone for depression. But I have a found a doctor I love. He's down in Plano - Preston and George Bush turnpike basically, but I really like him. (And I don't like Doctors!) His name is Kyle Molen and he's at Baylor medical Pavilion I. ###-###-####
Good luck to you - i wish you some peace!!
