Okay, so I saw this idea on Supernanny and wanted to give it a try. You get plain plastic cups for your kids, put their names on them and let them decorate them. It's supposed to make them want to use the big cups instead of sippy cups. I found some stuff and tried it out. I did get the right response. My girls loved the idea. The only problem is that nothing I tried has stayed on the cups. Anyone have any ideas of craft supplies that will actually stick on plastic cups for more than a few hours/day?

What can I do next?

Puffy paint, or paint in a tube that you can squeeze on. You will need to supervise, but these won't stay on in the dishwasher

Try scuffing the plastic up with a little bit of sandpaper first. That way the hot glue will stick better. That would be my suggestion.

Go to an RC Hobie store (Remote Controll) and get "Modeling Paint". It is designed to stick to plastics and acrilycs. They are used to paint the bodies of model cars and helicopters.

Colored sharpie markers will stay on plastic.
