Hi K.,
I responded to you before and you may have read it (it is below) but I just received an email today May 5th that I would love to share with you. It is called Wellness Programs for Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and other Auto-Immune Disorders. It says alot of the same things I recommended but is more specific as far as supplementation. Again, I am not trying to sell you anything, I just wanted to offer the information. If you are interested in me forwarding this email to you, my email address is ____@____.com sorry to hear about your daughter. My name is J. and I have been a personal trainer and wellness coach for over 20 years. I do have some recommendations that you can think about but of course can never take as replacement for Dr. advice.
First, she should be eating a diet low in salt, fat and animal protein. This kind of diet keeps the immune system from being overly reactive and is easy on the kidneys. Use only olive oil. (flaxseed oil is good as well)
Secondly, Essential fatty acids are very important. Good sources are; again olive oil, flaxseed oil, primrose oil, salmon, sardines or you could take a fish oil supplement. I would recommend the product on this page for that. http://www.shaklee.net/choosetobehealthy/prodNutOmegaGuard
Next, include in her diet brown risce, green leafy vegetables, nonacidic fresh fruits, oatmeal and whole grains. Have her eat fresh pineapple frequently.
Bromelain, an enzyme present in fresh pineapple is excellent for reducing inflammation.
Also, lots of fiber. A fiber supplement would work but of course eating high fiber goods which all the above are is best. A supplement might be http://www.shaklee.net/choosetobehealthy/product/20376 or http://www.shaklee.net/choosetobehealthy/product/20307
Try not to consume milk, dairy products or red meat. Avoid caffeine citrus fruit, paprika, salt, tobacco and any thing that contains surga. Night shade veggies such as eggplant, peppers, tomatoes, white potatoes contain a substance called solanine, which can contribute to inflammation and pain.
Try to get iron from food as opposed to supplements.
Get plenty of rest and regular exercise is very important.
Have her stay out of the sun by always wearing a hat and applying sunscreen but because of this she should definitely take a multi-vitamin with vitamin D.
Avoid flourescent light because it can aggravate symptoms.
Try to avoid being around anyone who is sick as she is more susceptible to viral infections. Also birth control pills have been known to cause a lupus flare up.
Mild cases of lupus respond well to supplements that build up the immune system. http://www.shaklee.net/choosetobehealthy/product/20960 and/or http://www.shaklee.net/choosetobehealthy/product/20241
Alfalfa capsules or tablets are good source of minerals needed for healing. http://www.shaklee.net/choosetobehealthy/product/20153 is a good product.
Earlier I recommended a multivitamin and I would recommend the following supplements besides the others listed.
This product includes omega 3's, b vitamins and antioxidants needed.

Also, Calcium and magnesium is important for ph balance and protection against bone loss due to arthritis. http://www.shaklee.net/choosetobehealthy/product/20681
Vitamin C is alo recomended.
Another possible product would be a product called Vivix that is high in resveratrol (and grape seed extract is also recommended)but I honestly have not studied the effects of resveratrol on lupus symptoms so you would have to investigate. http://www.shaklee.net/choosetobehealthy/product/81099
