Need Advice on Sit and Stand/joovy Caboose

Funny... I read the ideas the other folks posted to you first because I wanted to see what other folks thought about the joovy too. I also live in the UK so I know how space can be tight here and how much walking you need to do.
I've pretty much already decided on the Phil and Teds Vibe... but I keep hoping I'll find one that is a little less pricy. £500 (plus the cost of the doubles kit!!) is a little steep for me... but I'll cough it up if need be. I would definately check out Mothercare... there's a store in Bury St. Edmunds (plus if if you go on Saturday or Wednesday the market there is great!) The customer service was great... they showed me how the Phil and Teds would fold up super small (well... for a double anyways!)

I have the Joovy Caboose Stand on Tandem and LOVE it. I bought it in June and it has been back to the states with me and all over Germany. It is very easy to push up hill on cobble stones. Combined my girls weigh just shy of 65 pounds. It's very liteweight. I'm able to carry it(folded) and my 1yr old up a flight of stairs and haul it in and out of my van single-handed. I found it online at Albeebaby.com. They had the cheapest price. They don't ship to APO's but it was free shipping and I had it sent to shipitapo.com and thier shipping cost around $35.00. My only complaint is taking off the covers to wash requires a screwdriver. So that only happens when it really needs it. There are no cupholders but I got the Click'n Go Stroller Accessory Kit on Amazon and it works great. Hope this helps.

Hello - Have you ever seen the Phil & Ted double strollers? Don't want to add more confusion to the tough decision you already have, but we just purchased one for our second child and it's great. They have a few different models - I think the Sport is the basic one, we have the Vibe model, but they have the same basic concept. The kids sit one behind the other - but it still has the same 'footprint' as a single stroller. We love ours - live in Germany and it maneuvers great on cobblestone streets, smooth roads, trails ... fits through doors & around markets & shops easily. We bought ours online, but first had actually 'test driven' one at MamaSource in London.

Hi! I used a sit and stand with my first 2 children while they were 6 months and close to 4, till they were 4 and 7! People joke about how many strollers I go through, but this was by far my favorite. I had a double jogging stroller and it was a nightmare! My older child loved to be able to get and out of the sit and stand stroller, and in th UK you will do alot of walking which is hard on a 3 year olds legs!! The only advice I have is do not take it to London by train and using the underground!!!(We did it, and it was not fun!!)

I have four children and live in Belgium. I knew when we moved here that we had to give up our other double strollers (we have used a variety of strollers for a variety of situations) because we have lived in Europe before and have a lot of experience with narrow sidewalks and cobblestone streets ....
I STRONGLY suggest the PHil and Teds double stroller. It is a three-wheeled jogger (not a true jogger, but similar design) with a front and back seat. I bought mine in the STates before we came over .. but I know they sell them in the UK. I am sure it would be cheaper to purchase in dollars if you can find a way ... either way it is not cheap .. but it has been worth every penny to us!
