I think if you are pregnant you can get MA no matter what. But even if that's not the case, did you let them know about your complications on your application? Usually with special circumstances they make exceptions. A great place to call for help is on Knights Rd., Bensalem. I think it is affiliated with St Mary's Hospital. There was a woman there named Helen Miller, she is great. She is so helpful. I can't remember the phone number but I know they do CHIP and that is how I found her. I was applying for Adult Basic (which is the adult equivalent of CHIP) and she helped me fill out the application for MA. If there is a way to get you MA they can help. There are two places and I can't remember which one is the one to call so try both or just go there. They are at the very end of the shopping center and like I said they have St Mary's in their name. Try this ####-###-#### or the Mother Bachmann Maternity Center ####-###-####. The shopping center is right off Street Rd. as you are going toward the Franklin Mills Mall. I believe there is a grocery store at one end, sorry it's been awhile since I have been there. If you aren't sure where it is send me a personal message and I'll give you directions.
Another thing to consider, are you eligible for COBRA? If you had health insurance at your previous job they should send you a letter in the mail to let you know that you are eligible to pay for your own medical insurance. I know it will be expensive but it can't possibly cost as much as delivering a child especially with complications. Try calling your old insurance company and ask who to talk to about it. Good luck and try to stay relaxed, this isn't a good time to be having this kind of stress.
