We're going to the lake this holiday weekend and we're short a life jacket for my son. We only go once a year, so I would hate to buy a new one. He's 30 pounds and wearing 24 month/2T clothing. Please let me know if you have an extra one I can buy for cheap or possibly borrow.

Just bought a lifejacket for $14 @ Wal-mart for my 23 month/2T son. Works Awesome! Good Luck.
If that's too costly, I have seen some at thrift stores.

My son uses arm floaties at the pool by my side. I would never use them at the lake. They may slip of if he falls or jumps in. I emagine that weekend will have a lot of boaters and the water will be very choppy.

Wal-mart has a huge selection of life jackets in all sizes. My youngest son is exactly the same, but he uses the arm floaties. He so light in weight that they just keep him afloat without any problems and he's still able to swim around and have fun.
