I recently had a family member commit suicide and I am looking for a therapist who deals with this sort of thing. I live in Essex county but I am willing to travel to union, morris, passaic and Bergen county.
....Or if you have had to deal with this situation and wouldn't mind talking about it, I would love to hear from you.
Thanks for any info,
M.

I admire your bravery for reaching out for professional help. Sure, they may not have been through suicide but they certainly have had a lot of training in dealing with trauma, stress, and emotional turmoil. You won't be sorry that you consulted a professional - trust me!

As far as finding someone, maybe check first with your insurance. Your insurance may actually have mental health coverage and can help you find someone who would be a good match. At the very least, they can give you names and numbers of professionals in your target areas and then you can whittle down the list and go from there.

I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this but I'm proud of you for reaching out for help. Best wishes to you and your family.

Have you tried asking your doctor? Or you can try calling Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth. Ask for outpatient therapy. There may be a support group
