Joann Fabrics & Hancock Fabrics both have lists of local seamstresses.
Good Luck
I ordered an outfit for my daughter from Etsy and it's just about 1/2 inch too long! It is a halloween themed outfit so I don't want to send it back to the seller and then have her do it and send it back only to be able to wear it once or twice....Anyone know a good tailor who is quick just to do a hem?

I agree with the last mama, Best Alterations near Joann fabrics is good. I've used them for a formal and for a pair of pants and a skirt.
GinaM
There is a shop in Mesquite near the mall---can't remember the name--"Best Alterations" I think--it's right next door to JoAnn Fabric off Town East (across the street from the mall) between Galloway and 635. I had them alter my wedding dress. They are very good and inexpensive.
You don't need a seamstress! Just go to Wal-Mart, in the fabric section and get one of two things...
1. This "tape" that you place on the back side of the fabric, and iron the bottom up onto it. This is wonderful stuff! And the fact that she is only going to wear it a few times, it will work perfect.
2. Fabric glue! This is a close second. You just "glue" the hem up.
Simple and inexpensive.
Happy Halloween!
