Can any one recommend a good children's dentist that may be near East Dallas? My granddaugher has already been traumatized by a dental clinic, but I need to get a second opinion on something. Thanks.

We are very happy with Dr. Sandra Petrocchi. She is a pediatric dentist located in Preston Center (Preston Rd & NW Hwy). Her staff is great with the kids (my son is 3). Phone is ###-###-####. Good luck!

I second Dr. Plunk! My kids love him. He has a TV playing a kid's movie, a nerf basketball net (and he shoots and plays with the kids) and gives them "happy gas" through a brightly colored nose piece that they get to choose the smell - bubble gum, peppermint, etc.

Michael Plunk is great. He's right by Doctor's Hospital on Buckner near White Rock Lake. He's an orthodontist, as well, so it's a one-stop shop as kids grow older. His website is plunksmiles dot com.

Hi, we live in NE Dallas (Lake Highlands) and go to a dentist across the street from Presbyterian Dallas....her name is Dr. Lara Kirsten Holly and she is very very very nice. Her staff is nice as well. I don't know how far that is for you or what price range you need etc....we have insurance so I never really get an idea how much it would be with out that or if it's over priced even with that....anyway, she is very nice and my kids love her. I have a six year old son that initially (several years ago) was scared to death to go and I'd have to hold him in my lap and his mouth open...well, after going to her he now, at 6, hears his sister has an appointment and then starts whining that HE wants to go TOO!!! LOL that has to be a good sign!!! LOL GOOD LUCK!

Dr. Suzanne Allman in Rockwall is excellent...gentle, calm, and very encouraging with children before, during, and after procedures. A wonderful Dr. for a child with high anxiety or previous negative dental experiences. The other perk...you may accompany the child to the back and be with him/her during all visits rather than be required to stay in the waiting room. This "face time" with Dr. Allman gives you the opportunity to ask questions and be well educated on the prodedure/diagnosis being given. We've tried others in the area, and she has been the best for our family.
