Hello Ladies!!

So we are moving to London in about two months for a three year work assignment with my husband's company. I have a very tall 5 year old daughter who weighs about 45 lbs and a 3 year old son who weighs about 37 lbs. I am looking for a stroller that could accommodate the two of them for the days that we would prefer to walk rather than drive to school, store etc...Do any of you have any recommendations? I have been thinking about either a double jogger or a sit and stand. I would prefer not to break the bank but if anyone has a suggestion that is a little on the pricey side I am open to ideas. Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

You might want to wait and buy the stroller in England. They have so many more models specifically for a lot of walking with multiple children and storage for groceries and shopping all in the stroller. We just don't use our strollers the same here as they do.

Think of investing in the stroller like you would a...well not like a car...but you will be using it more than your car.

The above image shows how much space you can have with a storage basket on a single stroller...

They offer a double also with a lot of space for packages with optional storage basket.

Start looking at the European websites...good luck!!

Just found a European website all about strollers/prams...

It has been a long time since I used a stroller, but to add to what Lucy's Mom said--I spent a week in London in June and would certainly NOT want to drive there if I could avoid it. There are lots of nice parks, you will want to enjoy them, so I'd definitely get a good stroller. Good walking shoes for you too.

Have you considered a wagon? or do you want something where your younger one can recline? just a thought.

good luck with the stroller and the move!

Ditto... wait until you get to the UK. European strollers are SO much better than ours. I know that means double the price (xchange rate and all), but they're really worth the wait.

I had a friend that just came back from living a year London and the one thing she said she wished she'd done differently is spend more money on a higher quality stroller. The curbs and uneveness and weather did a number on hers. They walked a lot more than they drove just because of traffic. Sorry I don't have a specific recommendation but wanted to tell you what I knew!

Oh how fun! We lived south of London for a few years and loved it. We miss it so much. They have wonderful strollers in England, but they might be more expensive there. They walk everywhere there, so they have the strollers down. Oh, you're going to have so much fun!
