Need a Pediatrician Recommendation

Hello! My son is 9 weeks old and has been going to a pediatrician at Johns Hopkins Community Physicians in White Marsh. I am extremely disappointed with my experiences there. Yesterday, at his 2 month visit, he wasn't seen until 1 hour and 15 mins AFTER his appt time, then she spent only 15 mins in the room. She never actually observed his development, she simply asked me if he was doing this and that.

I live in Middle River and would like something in the White Marsh, Middle River or Dundalk area. Also, I am not a fan of Franklin Square Hospital, so I prefer a doctor that has privelges at another hospital.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

I second Main Street Pediatrics in Towson! I go to Dr. Bodnar and I LOVE him. He is extra responsive to any questions, is very knowledgeable and has many years experience. They've also just gotten a new doctor whose credentials are quite good. Any doctor I've seen there has been terrific and they have privileges at GBMC (at least Dr. Bodnar does, I'm not sure of the others.)

They schedule babies checkups early in the morning and I've NEVER had to wait more than 5 minutes. Actually, even for sick visits I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes. ALSO, and this is as important as your doctor I think, the nurses and physician's assistants are fantastic and I haven't seen very much turnover which is telling.

I've referred my co-worker to Dr. Bodnar and she loves him too. Sounds like I'm on commission, huh?

Good luck!

Mainstreet Pediatrics in Towson on Fairmount Ave. is a great practice. My son's pediatrician was Dr. Johnathan Surell and I loved him. (only switched because of insurance reasons). Good luck in your search!

Take the small ride to St. Joseph's. I had my son there and got Dr. Nelson Davidson on recommedation of the (entire)nursing staff on the maternity ward. He is wonderful. An unassuming kind man. Very matter of fact and ready to anwer all your questions, and my son, now 5 LOVES him. good luck

We go to the same place you do, but see Dr. Pinto, and I love him. Have you considered changing doctors instead of entire groups?

I take our daughter to Dr. Jeffries Bucci. He has an office in Bel Air & Towson. We live in Sparrows Pt. & I take her to the Towson office. It's located on Osler Dr. across the street from St. Joseph's.
Dr. Bucci is wonderful & he's great with kids. My daughter used to hate going to the doctor, but since she's been seeing Dr. Bucci, she doesn't mind it so much. I highly recommend him.
