Need a Good Pediatrician Referall

Our pediatrician NEVER makes us wait that long! We wait less than 15 minutes in the waiting room (unless it's a last minute sick visit and we didn't have an appt. to start with). Then, once they weigh her, take temp, etc. it's usually less than 10 minutes until the doc comes in.

Mine is fabulous and while not in OP, is in Riverside on Park Street, Dr. Hilleary Rockwell. The other bonus is, he's in private practice for himself, so you always see ONE doctor and the same nurses... not a different doc every time, as in some group practices.

Not sure if they take your insurance but we love Island Pediatrics. I don't recall ever waiting more than 10-15 minutes at the most. They are in Fleming Island right off of Hwy 17 and their phone number is ###-###-####. I've taken my son there for almost three years. He sees Dr Shelly Hall but everyone in the office is super nice!

We use Orange Park Pediatrics. One thing that I can tell you is that anywhere I have ever been you will get a pretty decent wait unless.......you try to get the first or even the last appt of the day.The first is the best,you get there on time and they will be there (nobody before you to back them up) get you in and out in no time.The last may not be so bad either excpet some Drs may be in a rush (some offices) and do not have as good a 'bedside' manner as they may another time of day.Try these things at the office you already have and see if that will help.If you like the Dr then you may not want to switch before trying this.Hope it helps. :)

Another vote for Dr Rockwell in Riverside but I imagine that would be too far for you. We rarely wait more then 10 minutes.

Hi, M.. I take my four children to Orange Park Pediatrics, and I have been taking them there for over 6 years now. I really love the nurse practitioner there. Her name is Marianne. She also goes to the Argyle office. However, I do like Dr. Woolwine and Dr. Spearman. I usually don't wait too long, maybe 15 minutes. They are pretty fast.

M., I do not live on that side of town, so I can't recommend anyone. But I can answer the average wait time question. We see the family medical group at Mayo Clinic. And we usually wait 5-10 minutes in the lobby -- and once back in the room -- the doctor's nurse is with us -- she is the one who calls us back. And then in about 5 minutes, Dr. Masters comes in the room. We've never had too long of a wait time. Now that's just for family medicine -- when we have to go to other departments, it's different, like when we go to the lab -- it's usually pretty quick b/c they not always busy.

Even though it's a group facility -- we always see Dr. Masters b/c he's our PCP -- and the great things -- even though other people don't agree -- he will see everyone in our family -- including myself and my SO.
