I can think of 3 great OB-GYNs in the Bedford/ Euless area, if you are looking for an all womens practice Dr Prentiss is great as I hear her associates are also (all women). Dr Reimer does high risk ob as well as a huge following of normal pregnancies and they all deliver at HEB. If you like a smaller hospital so you get better more personal attention, try Dr Alcalen who is a wonderful lady OB that just had her second child at North Hills Hospital or Dr Allen who also practices at North Hills and all of his patients just rave about him. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I also think Dr Gagnon is very knowledgeable and Baylor Grapevine is a good hospital. If you are not overwhelmed by names at this point remember you are hiring them, becoming the employer that is hiring a well educated and experienced person to manage something very dear to you. Your health and safe delivery of your child. Don't be afraid to interview, ask questions and visit offices so that you can evaluate the staff and surroundings as well. Find out who returns your calls and when. Do they have a practitioner who see's you or does the Dr see you most of the time. Is the nurse an LVN, Rn or medtech? How do they feel about childbirth styles and methods that you have opinions about and will they work with you?
Good Luck, most of the Dr's out there are just hard working, intelligent and caring people dedicated to thier patients.
