Our family has been going to Harbor Mesa Dental in Costa Mesa for over ten years.
Dr. Sanacore and his staff are amazing! They are kind and gentle and let you know what is happening each step of the way. I had bad experiences in the past and so when I found Dr. Sanacore, it was life-changing! My daughter and son are 5 and 2 and they also go to Harbor Mesa and see Dr. Hanna De Bourg, the children's dentist. I cannot say enough about how wonderfully sweet she is and very professional with the little ones. My kids love going b/c they make them feel very special and safe! I HIGHLY recommend this office if you are willing to come to Costa Mesa (across the street from the Target shopping center on Harbor Blvd.) Nice people all around (our hygenist is Darlene and she is awesome too- a mommy as well and gentle and kind).

My 5YO daughter and I go to Dr. William Wong in Irvine at Woodbridge plaza on Barranca across from the lake. He is great! I am wary of dentists, eye doctors and dermatologists because many (not all!) try to upsell you on 'extras' you don't really need. He is not like that; very professional, awesome hygenist, Susan, and great office staff. My daughter has a cavity that he is treating (not filling) because he believes in saving teeth before just drilling in to them. It has worked out for her so far, only 2 more years until they fall out on their own. ###-###-####. I cannot recommend him and his staff highly enough!!!

We used to see Dr. Ezaki on Sand Canyon in Irvine and I think he also owns the Apex group. Do NOT see him...felt like everytime we were there he was trying to sell us something new...always claimed we had this wrong and that wrong.

We went to a new dentist recommended by a friend about eight months ago and low and behold, our troubles are not what Dr Ezaki led us to believe. Although I can tell you I need to have one of my fillings that Ezaki did replaced because it's cracked and it's only about two years old. Lovely.

We've also taken our four year old to this new dentist and he was great!

I also have 2 daughters and they love going to see, "Uncle Jack" (thats what they call him.) He is very gentle and always makes sure the girls are okay..The office is clean and the staff is wonderful with kids. We were in the same boat as you a few yrs back and once we found Dr Jack, we go for all our routine check ups and he takes care of us. My daughter who has had cavities all her life has had none after going to this office...I would recommend them to anyone.....

I don't know where you are lookin. But, my family loves Dr Burnham in Ahaheim Hills. he is gentile. One of my kids has serious teeth issues, and has had to have extensive work, and my son has no clue that he ever had a shot put in his mouth. That is impressive.

I totally adore our family dentist who has taken care of both my husband and I as well as our youngest daughter since she was 4 (she's now 22). His name is Dr Mark Goodfellow. He's in Tustin, just off the 55 frwy at 17th street, so it really isn't that far.

I don't know where you're located, but Dr. Pai and Dr. Ishioka in Los Alamitos would be an awesome place for you! They are a married couple. Dr. Nelson Pai does adult dentistry, Susan Ishioka does pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. Their offices share a lobby with adults on one side, kids on the other. Their office staff is awesome and helpful. They really helped us out with my daughter's braces and were flexible setting up a financing plan that worked best for us. I could tell stories for hours about this wonderful dental office. They are kind, caring, and professional. Both doctors will come in on weekends for emergency appointments, even if it means juggling their kids soccer games or whatever. Dr. Susan took off my friends son's braces for his high school senior portraits, and put them back on FOR FREE. We have a friend who lived in New Zealand for a while, and still kept his dental appointments here in Los Alamitos California! Any dentist worth flying around the globe for is definitely worth a little drive!

I highly recommend my dentist - Dr. Kimberly Okumura in Huntington Beach. She specializes in fearful patients and has a wonderrful gentle approach. She uses special techniques to minimize any pain and fear. She also teaches desntistry at USC so all of her techniques and training is very up to date. WONDERFUL!!!

I have been going to the same dentist for 35 years! He and his staff are wonderful. I even used to babysit his daughters when I was in high school :) I've never understood other's fears about going to the dentist; probably because I've never had any problems whatsoever with Dr. Keiser. AND he's not one of those strip mall dentists -- I think you know what I mean! Anyway, his name is Steven J. Keiser, he's located in Orange on Tustin Ave. at Chapman. Also, ask for Debbie to be your hygenist. She's the best and has been with him for 35 years, too!

I have a great dentist, I'd trust w/ my life. She is current on technology and even uses a flavored gel to numb the gums first - you can't even feel it when Novocain is needed. She doesn't talk all insurances so you'd have to check w/ her, but let me know if you want her name and #. Her office is right off the 55 freeway at 4th street. She is worth the drive. I do recommend AM appts when possible, because she runs over in the afternoon -- she wants to do things right, not just rush the job to get to the next patient.
