My younger two kids have eczema- I've found that limiting or cutting off the amount of milk they have has helped clear it up tremendously. Otherwise, we use Aquaphor- the super-thick, vaseline-like cream. Good luck!
My grandson has a very bad spreading rash on his neck. First we thought it was from drooling, then from the bib.First the doc says it is yeast infection. Now they say it is dry skin or ezema.
Has anyone experienced this.

Take the baby to an Allergist. Dermatologists think every rash is eczema.
My son suffering with the same problem for years I tried everything the Doctor told me too and nothing work then I tried a Natural Products. Liquid Silver Sheild & Gel and Liquid ALJ. and It worked.
Around two months (I think) old my son got a large red area on one side of his neck. Our pediatrician thought it was just a yeast infection, but it never cleared up. Also it would at times get very irritated and infected. We took him to a dermatologist who treats mainly adults who agreed as well it was just a yeast infection. Finally when he was around eight months old I had him seen by a pediatric dermatologist because it was not getting better. They diagnosed him with something called mastocytosis. It is not common, but they knew what it was in an instant. It is something generally only found in children which is why the first dermatologist couldn't diagnose it. If you find your grandson is not getting better, have him seen by a PEDIATRIC dermatologist. I went to Children's Hospital in the city. It is tough to get an appointment because there are so few of them, but it was well worth the wait to understand what his condition was and how to treat it.
I see this morning that you have two postings, they could be related. Seasonaly allergies and ezema are caused by the same root problem. If it is allergies it can cause head conjestion, which would affect his ears and hearing, the ezema is treatable with hydrocoraizone. It is something to check into. A.
My daughter started to have that on her neck. The doctor said it's eczema so I asked my friend about it. She gave me a lotion called Renew and I put it on my daughter's neck 3 times a day for 3 days. In this three days was such an improvement. It's amazing. Now I don't even see it anymore and I only have to put the lotion one time a day now. I think the lotion is natural. If you want to know how to get it you will have to ask my friend about it. Her info is: Ella - ###-###-####.
I hope everything will be better for your grandson.
Baby Gold Bonds. I used that for my little ones when they got that sort of rash. My youngest son and youngest daughter both got that alot due to them both being a bit chubbier. Just keep it clean and put the powder on it. I never used anything but the Baby Gold Bonds though. Good luck
Take the bib off him as soon as he finishes eating. Wash the affected area each time gently, dry well, then powder with Johnson baby powder. It's the most mild. Cheap powder is not as finely ground and will irritate the neck (and bottom also). It should be drying up in a couple of days.
All my kids got a rash in the folds of their neck when they were drooling a lot. Make sure after baths that his neck is completely dry. And through out wipe him up to keep the area dry.
Hi
My son had that problem with the neck and face allover his body I thought it wa from people kissing him and from him droolin, when he was a baby but I took him to childrens Memorial because he seemed very irritated and they told me it was eczema and told me to only bath him with dove soap and put( hydrocortizone until rash clear up) and Eucerine lotion on him after every bath to keep him moisturized
This is such a hard thing for parents and children to go through. As you have found out, many doctors don't know what it is and traditional creams don't help. The use of natural products is essential with eczema. NO vaseline products or products containing mineral oil. These will not help and can aggravate the condition. I can show you a line of pure, natural baby products that are unbeatable.
I would also suggest that after eating, make sure clothing is not wet - always clean and dry. Yes, it may make for more shirt changes, but at least you are helping this poor little guy out. If he is drooling due to teething, you will need to keep changing the bib (use plastic backed ones so wetness doesn't leak through). Cut down on acidic foods and juices. Yes, some children do have food allergies to milk as well. Cut back on this and use a milk alternative like rice milk. It's sweet and is very good! When they are young, they can make the changes to these type of things.
I'd be happy to provide more information and testimonials as well. Good for you for seeking out more information. Many doctors don't always know and none will suggest natural products without dyes, chemicals, fragrances, etc. It truly does matter what we put in and on our bodies. Here's to your health!

Try Baby Aquaphor. I would put it on at night.
